I said it the day he was hired. And if Kingsbury really believes in him they should do it. He’s a questionable hire, but you have to let him have the QB he wants.

I’m almost as curious to see Josh Rosen’s trade value if this went that way.

They wouldn't have to move Rosen for another year and could keep him as a backup with that contract and another rookie qb contract. I can't imagine it being for much tho.

I want three new starters on the Oline for anyone playing QB for us. As it stands we have one legit starter, one massively overpaid starter, 2 jags and one massively overpaid and constantly injured embarrassment that cant be considered a starter because he isn't and won't be available to start when rehabbing whatever breaks next. I would feel bad for a brick wall playing QB for us. Dude may not be prototypical QB but he has something and is a winner. I would certainly be on the edge of my seat if we were the takers here but at least there is reason to hope with him...just not behind our current Oline situation.

This. Same.

Anyone who takes this guy also takes on the risk of him getting of football and switching to baseball. Am sure whoever gets him will also get the “Russell Wilson” treatment

Yeah, and unlike Wilson, Murray is an actual stud on the diamond too.  You dont get taken in the Top 10 of the MLB draft if you dont have serious skills.

I don't know his whole track record, but it ain't good. Not sure how he didn't follow Wilks out the door.

I’m in Phoenix and yes Keim is bad. If they pick a 5 10 qb after taking Rosen the whole staff sb canned Wasn’t flutie too small at 5 10??

This would my biggest concern. Hasn't his MLB team already gotten permission from MLB to break rank and basically offer a contract no NFL team could match under the rookie wage scale? MLB teams are certainly no stranger to contracts that blow away anything the NFL offers and it's guaranteed money. Even if you get him on the gridiron, what if he has a rough rookie season? You know that MLB team will be barking in his ear to come back to baseball before the opportunity passes him by.

I get what you are saying about Keim, but Flutie was closer to 5' 8" .  There is a line somwhere that scouts are going to draw the cutoff at height for QB.  It use to be 6".  It probably is still for some teams.  If Murray gets alot of passes batted down and can't see the defense or his recievers over the line then they are all going to say "see, I told you".  But if he works out and can hold up physically then the Cardinals could have the best QB they ever had there.  And besides Warner, that is not really saying a lot.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
