I don't like it either. I would've either extended him at a better number reflective of his play or released him and brought back TD on a one year $3M-ish deal.

I believe you got two Viking greats confused, you mean John Randle. Doleman was an edge sack artist with incredible lean when it wasn't a thing. One of my all-time favorites Randle was causing havoc as a 3tech DT. Funny enough too, Mike wahle once said Randle was like "a bowling ball of butcher knives" He even repeated it in the interview! Ron Rivera (Panther's Head Coach/Boss Man) and the brass are considering a base shift from 4-3 (4 down lineman/3 backers) to a 3-4(Flip the former). TD is gone which leave us with only one other LB worth a damn. Shaq. With TD's retirement (he will no longer be able to play) we need someone to fill his spot. I don't believe Shaq can replace him in coverage but now with more 3-4 looks there will be more backers on the field even if we lose one for another corner. (4 backers minus 1 = 3). I know math is hard but do your best hun. I'm rooting for you.

  Of course the first move in losing all credibility....try to pigeon-hole the other guy into a group of people you don’t like. Sorry dipshit, I don’t care one bit about anyone’s political agenda. None. So huge swing and a miss there. 

  And none of that shows that we are paying 9M for Shaq to play a limited role, or a role he’s never played before. More LBs that he isn’t a fit for. I'm not a talking head kinda guy. Sure, I listen to the talking heads, but experience has taught me that hype rarely ever rises to reality. I'm not sold. That being said, after about 8-12 guys, I'm not exactly sold on anyone right now. Maybe in another month, that will change, but probably not to the point where I believe all the hype about the consensus fourth and fifth D-lineman or O-lineman in this draft, at their positions (and maybe not even the third). I'll keep researching though.

I’m gonna guess only one of us played and coached in college. You would dispute what Insaid if you could but it’s true. So you can’t. And just like your strange political deflection attempt, this whole post is just you not having the intelligence to do anything but deflect from the issue. 

 I’ve shown, in multiple ways, how Shaq is not worth 9M this year and there are much better options. You won’t accept facts about defenses. But somehow Im the one who knows nothing about football. Before a couple hours ago you actually didn’t know that NFL teams played nickel defense a majority of the time. Sure. You got a real Belechik thing going on there.

There are a lot of options. Greedy Williams, Garrett Bradbury, Ed Oliver, Parris Campbell, Noah Fant, TJ Hockenson, Chris Lidstrom, Dexter Lawrence, Devin Bush, Devin White....amongst others. Man...I am pumped about this draft. I really think we can get some impact guys in the first three rounds.
