Matt Kalil still not healthy. Says “Everyone knows what type of player I can be”

Side question: How bad was that knee injury? Odd to me that he had no issues (yet another beat I’ve felt in a long time offseason quote), then had a “minor procedure” and was estimated to be back in a couple weeks, then spent the entire season on IR, and is still not healthy? Seems very Otah ish to me

Matt 'Speedbump' Kalil,

I couldn't agree more.  I am almost assured that you mean we all know that you could be the absolute worst starting left tackle in the NFL. I have never seen one player so detrimental to the state of the franchise and the health of one player than you. At "full health" as you usually claim to be year in and year out, I wouldn't want you protecting my son's quarterback. He's 9.

We didn't want him to return and get legitimately hurt to where we couldn't release him.

The Texans have thrown away $7.5M in cap space this year if they carry him to the regular season. How in the HELL did Kalil convince a team to give him $7.5M after completely fleecing us? Dude has the GOAT agent.

Some guys just never come back from those injuries....not all ACL tears are the same.

Hate it, and really wish that he could have worked out here long term, but it wasn't in the cards.

The one I hate worse though?  Oher.  While not great, he was good enough, tough the way he went out.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
