Sees "played in 15 games past year" and thinks hmmm... he can't be THAT terrible. Then thinks back to some of the players who have appeared in 15 games for us in the past... oh yes he can.

Probably just special teams mostly

His one INT last year was against Cam. It was a decent read. He was playing the slot on that play.

Yea added slot competition is a bonus but really we can find a gem or a person who performs better under better circumstances ie mike mitchell:Coleman is all we are looking for now all our weaknesses are consistently being addressed besides ummmm safety but in Ron’s eyes safety is obsolete so we are good

For the other 31 teams? Hell no. For the Panthers? Anything is possible.

Lol that’s hilarious

As long as he can play nickel/cover the slot, I think this is a good move.

Nickel CB/CB depth could still use some work.

Donte Jackson/James Bradberry/Ross Cockrell is a pretty good starting combination

Lorenzo Doss, Corn Elder, Kevon Seymour, John Thornton, and now Javien Elliott are the other guys currently on the roster.

The team generally keeps 5 CB's, and I think as long as he is healthy, Seymour has a leg up on 1 of the remaining 2 positions.  That leaves the other 4 guys to battle it out.

It's not the best CB group in the league, but it doesn't scare me like it has some in the past.  Losing Cockrell and Seymour early on last year hurt, although it did push Jackson into a starting role which may not have happened otherwise.

I certainly think it is sufficient with our Front 7 if we don't have a rash of injuries.
