Don’t read that much into it. All it says to me is that he’s going to put in the effort to try and make the team. There have been plenty of PS/waived WRs and TEs that participated in Cam’s pre-training camp workouts over the years. Holyfield making the roster (could still make PS) is 100% based on how tired the staff is of CAP and how he compares to Scarlett. Going to Cam’s camp may help him prepare for the battle but it has no bearing on him making it, i.e. he didn’t get invited because he’s ahead of Scarlett. I’m not a Scarlett fan because I would much rather have had Omenihu in the 5th.

Depending on how well Daddy managed his money, Holyfield may have more financial ability to make a cross country trip for a passing camp than most PS/UDFA.

Wow.  That Omenihu missed pick is still haunting you.  I liked him.  But there is some tape on him getting killed inside.  And that is where he will project in the Pro’s.

My feeling is that with Obada putting on weight they were fine to pass on him in draft.  Not sure I agree with that.

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
