Super Bowl Contender

We need to beat the Rams first. We will be able to tell a lot about both teams that game. But yeah, we need to take care of the Saints. Get that monkey off our back.

Right now the 2019 Saints are to us what the 2015 Seahawks were to us at the time. I'm confident even if we lose to the Rams beating the Saints would get us rolling.

Hurney has done a great job of putting together a squad that can make a run for the Super Bowl.

Yeah, I know every team tries to do the same and many teams say the same thing.   There is just a feel about this team that makes me believe we are going to make waves this season.

McCoy, Irvin, Hogan and Paradis are solid veterans to replace all the veteran leadership we lost last year.

Olsen committing to play at least one more season.

Cam stronger than ever and weapons that are about to explode.

A defense that is going to cause fits for teams with a player that just might make a run for DROY.

Good draft picks across the board and decent FA signings.

Yes, I am an optimistic person and every season I feel we can do it but this year just seems to have a special feel to it.

Go Panthers.  Super Bowl bound.

Before commenting on your thread, I took the time to read all the other responses you've gotten.

I was mildly surprised to see the general level of skepticism from so many, which mostly centered on just how many games need to be won, before such audacious optimism should even be uttered.

Personally, I agree with your observations (and would even expand on how much improvement there's been to the depth of the roster.)  I don't see any glaring weaknesses, anywhere. On defense whoever plays nickel will be a VAST improvement over Munnerlyn -- and the Safety positions won't be scalded by long passes, if the improved pass rush leaves less time for QB's to load up with bombs.  These are surely arguable points, but I put my money where my mouth is.  I expect our revamped D to be a force to be reckoned with.

I've already gotten down with my bookie (and if anyone contacts me directly, I can set you up to do the same) on the Panthers winning the NFC So at 4 1/2-1, the Conf at 20-1, and Over 8 wins at 6-5.  A SB win would net 40-1, but I haven't bet that yet.  I won't get those odds after even a few pre-season games are won, and others see what we have, so I move on it early.

At least someone gets the jist of this thread. Our talent level is as good as any. Our weapons are so much better than 2015 and our defense is built to beat New Orleans and any other high flying offense. .

Sure we can sit around and wait for the games to be played to determine how good we will be. What fun is that?  I've posted this thread and will be ready to eat crow if I am wrong but my guts say I will be driving our bandwagon.

Those that want to wait, need to grow a pair and get on board now. This team is loaded with talented vets and youngsters and if your not optimistic about our chances.  Why be a fan.
