I live in a state where it's legalized and usually you can tell who's had a little because they're doing 20 in a 70. Not a fan of driving under the influence, no matter if it's weed, alcohol, opioids or a street hummer.

90 in a 65 is not that bad these days.  Could be somewhere that the speed dropped from 70.  I would say the average cruising speed on most interstates is around 85 mph these days plus I assume he is in a nice car which makes it super easy to lose track of exactly how fast you are going.  I got popped a 3 years ago doing 87 in a 60 on 26 coming into Rock Hill.  I had been sitting in dead stop traffic for a full 3 hours and still had 4 hours of driving to go.  Traffic had just broken open and I was in my new S4, wasn't even paying attention, boom!

Speeding seems to be the one law everyone blatantly breaks. 90 in a 65 is normal interstate driving these days. Not that it should be, just that it is.

Anyways. As far as speeding in America, the roads now often resemble social media. No one wants to give an inch, and everything is 0-100 in seconds. You can't even make a simple turn without getting nearly run off the road by someone behind you unwilling to wait a whole 2 seconds.
