"It's only preseason" .... well...

Remembering that preseason run game more closely resembles beginning of regular season run game. If so, they'd better do extra work on that Oline. Cap and Scarlett did great at making something out of nothing. Didn't see many holes, could be that McDermotts guys are highly disciplined, motivated.

The backup QBs actually took a step back. Worried about them.

We need coach to have the team fired up for every game going forward. Riverboat needs to be a day one guy not a last ditch effort to save face and save a job. Everybody is responsible, especially coaches for not having the team in the right mental state.

I always took more significants to preseason with Fox than Rivera. Fox wanted to win where Rivera treats preseason as something to survive. For two years now Buffalo has schemed the Panthers games as well. Why idk.

The preseason is a laboratory of sorts. I like that Rivera made them go for it on 4th several times. This is the time to fail trying different things. I don’t have a problem with it. If they look this way next week with the starters in, I’ll be more concerned.

Bills beat us in preseason last year too and it didn’t seem to matter once the season started. Who cares? And last year all the starters even played some!

You can bet  McDermott  wanted to beat the  Panthers,  more schemes  ,  than we wanted to beat the Bills in a pre season game..

With that said,   the Bills made us look bad..  and we were BAD ..  both tackles were awful.  Allen and Grier were awful.  Josh Allen made us look bad.

The offense couldn't get past the bad  QB play..  even if we blocked well, or WR ran perfect routes  etc,,  the QB's were so bad it was not noticed.

So no worries,,  we didn't run a single  WR  end around or double reverse ( we are guaranteed to run a minimum of 2 a game..  it may be required.. )    and we didn't  run the pass play   " smoke"  ,, another play we are required to run at least twice a game..   So until we game plan with these required plays lol..  we'll not know how bad we are based on last evening.

Lets hope we look more like a team week 3 .. ( sorta like week 1 ,, gawd the Bears suck without starters )  We face the Rams week 1..  we can't  enter the NFL season and plan to win or lose 2 -3 games early trying for our starters to get their sea legs..

I went to the preseason game against the Dolphins in 2015.  If anything, it was worse than this one, with our play in the first 35 minutes or so being horrid.  Only difference is that now we don't have Mr. Preseason Joe Webb to bring us back. 

 

I don't know how good we will be this year, but this game is irrelevant.  Just as the 2015 Dolphins game was.

Like I have said in the past. I have no hope for this team with Ron Rivera at the helm. He seems like he is never prepared and NEVER MAKES ADJUSTMENTS during game. Seriously? What do you think is going to change? Ron will always be Ron

I think it's past time for Ron Rivera's team to cease being on the receiving end of these blowouts for awhile. Especially at home where our record last year wasn't exactly pretty.
