Couldn’t  have come at a better time.  Hoping he and Miller will become bookends of future.

He truly has the highest potential to become the next Mack or Miller from an elite athletic ability.

Lucky he dropped to 16.

Not too impressed with Miller yet. Hopefully he can develop. Because as it sits now, both Mario and Irvin are free agents after this season. We really need Miller and/or Haynes to develop into real contributors to give us some flexibility there. If they don't, then we're stuck having to pay guys on the wrong side of 30 and/or having to go out and pursue other free agents or likely investing another high pick in an edge rusher next year.

Miller is not there yet, but between Burns and Haynes we have 2 guys who are trending towards being able to take over as starters, and hopefully Miller can be a solid rotational guy by next year.

I think the primary rotation at OLB/Edge is going to be Addison/Irvin/Burns/Haynes

Miller will be on the roster but probably inactive most weeks

Sounds about right to me.

I am really excited about Burns and the Edge guys in general.

We were getting pressure in the limited time the main guys were out there.

Josh Allen deserves credit bc he made some excellent throws. However, as Rivera pointed out, he really only targeted Carter and Smith.

I was hoping for a better performance from those guys as I thought they could be good depth at ILB, but still, I still am very optimistic about the potential of this defense.

    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
