Cam's Injury: Doesn't appear to be serious

My initial concern was a possible Lisfranc, but xrays were negative.  A Lisfranc fracture sits Newton for weeks, if not months.

I think a foot sprain or a turf toe sounds like a reasonable diagnosis from afar.  Turf Toes can nag and it might limit his mobility, but with two weeks of treatment hopefully he would be ready to go come the Rams game.

Often players are put in boots for their comfort during ambulation.  I wouldn't read too much into him being placed in a boot as any sort of huge negative precursor.

Let's be honest, this injury was on Cam.  He should learn to throw it away in a meaningless preseason game.

This.  If he wants to extend his career, he must throw the ball away more often rather than try to dodge 3-4 defenders while running for his life.

It was a basic football play.  Ish happens.  I don't see why people always have to find someone to blame the injury on.

Yeah, sure, MAYBE he should have thrown it away considering it is a preseason game.  But you still want to prepare for the regular season and it was 3rd and 10 - you don't throw that away when you think you can make a play.  It was nothing more than a fluky foot injury.

Exactly, he talks about how he has to play smarter.  Injury aside, it still was a dumb play, especially in preseason.

    • did a great job getting us out of cap hell. also did nothing to make the team better once we had a roster good enough to compete for a super bowl for a hawwwg mawlie enthusiast using first round picks on shaq and vernon butler which were luxury picks while strutting out the likes of nate chandler, byron bell, matt kalil, mike remmers to protect your franchise QB was malpractice. and then of course the norman fiasco and drafting kelvin benjamin over davante adams, jarvis landry and allen robinson and doubling down on devin funchess the next year. for a guy that "came from scouting" it was crazy how he drafted 2 tall unpolished receivers simply because Cam "threw high" I remember him and Rivera thinking Byron Bell would be a better left tackle than right tackle because he was left handed lol
    • Beane took over in 2018 after Josh Allen was drafted. He's drafted 2 Pro Bowlers his entire tenure. James Cook and Dawson Knox The Bills had a generational QB fall into their lap and have wasted his prime much like we did with Cam. Alot of parallels and it's even funnier when they've had so many of our former players and built their front office around our old employees
