OP, you forget about that game against the Falcons in 2016 already?

Julio Jones had 300 receiving yards.

It's Julio Jones.  And 1 game. And he wasn't the only Panther playing that day.

That makes you feel better about losing?

I don't know if you've been paying attention to our record against the Falcons as of late, but it isn't pretty. Might only be 1 game to you, but we haven't beaten them in ATL in years.

I don't think it's a good idea to subject Bene to 2 games against the Falcons, and 2 more against NO and Brees.

Hate to see how this guys career ended.  That leg injury derailed his career.

Everyone remembers the Julio meltdown

People forget he ended up grading out as the top rookie DB after his rookie season.  And all those redrafts you see writers put out, he was top 15 pick in theirs.

21. GREEN BAY PACKERS

(Original pick: Alabama FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix)
Re-do pick: San Jose State CB Bené Benwikere

When he was given a chance to start in the second half of Carolina's season, Benwikere impressed, allowing a rookie-low 72.9 opposing quarterback rating and no touchdowns in 459 regular-season snaps. He was less impressive in Carolina's playoff loss to Seattle, but this fifth-rounder should have been selected a lot earlier in the draft, and given Green Bay's issues in the secondary, he could have been as impactful as Clinton-Dix turned out to be.

He started off strong the next year, him and Norman were a helluva duo.  Then that leg break vs Atlanta and he was never the same

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone and we have Taylor Moton inked to a recent extension. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
