Donte is a BALL HAWK

His tackling is overblown. He’s not the best at it, I think he shies away from RBs when bearing down on him cuz he’s a little guy, but he’s the best player I remember at closing and tackling on screen passes. He’ll get juked, but at least he’s not out there just trying to shoulder tackle like Reid all the time.

It does seem like Dante takes a lot of chances, some of which result in interceptions, others that leave him out of position. This game would have taken a different direction had the Cardinals been able to hold onto the pass towards the end of the first half and had been able to hit the wide open receiver in the second.

Jackson had a mixed bag, today.

He completely whiffed on a few tackles but had those two picks.

He also tried to jump a route and abandoned his assignment and the receiver dropped a wide open reception with no one between him and the endzone. That was a bad blown coverage.

I'd give him a solid B for the day. The picks make up for his shortcomings, but he needs to be more consistent in his coverage and tackling.

If he tightens up his tackling he will be a premier corner.  How many premier coverage CBs are strong tacklers though? (genuine question)  I think his problem is he plays so fast that his tackling suffers.  Prime example is the David Johnson touchdown.  Dante had him dead to rights but basically overran the tackle.

Yes. He almost cost the team a touchdown on that one blown coverage where he bit. Still happy he made two big plays. But there’s always room for improvement.
