"Calm down, It was just the Cardinals"

The Panthers have a fairly easy stretch of the schedule coming up. So that will work well for the over reactions here

I agree that if there is such a thing as an easy nfl game then we have some.  That being said I think if we have a healthy QB lets get his feet under him and give him some time to gain experience. It will also give the team time to gel.  If we can get through this with a chance of post season play viable and get QB1 healthy then perhaps he can come back and take us to another level.

I will now enjoy victory Monday.

It gets harder next week. And it gets harder every week after that. But he also gains experience, and that helps. The Cardinals were no cupcake, but there are tougher defenses out there. This will be an interesting few weeks if he stays in the lineup.

Not quite the same score but it reminded me a bit of the ass whooping we put on the Giants back in 2013 and this D has looked very similar (elite front 7 coming into form?) to that year.

They are not elite (yet). The pass rush is still slow. The Cardinals are just bad and actually look like the Panthers Olines getting a QB destroyed.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
