1:55 left in the 3rd quarter

Houston is shuffling personnel. Carolina rushes to the line to take the snap and Houston has to burn a timeout. 

:28 left in the 4th: 

Houston gets the ball down by 6 but has no time outs.

I'm used to seeing that in a Panthers game. Just not used to it being the other team that had to burn the timeout.

If you are not trying to Bash Cam you don’t have to make the comment. let’s be happy we have 2 capable starting QB. This will always be Cam’s team. He is a League MVP and the franchise. If both QB are on the block an injured Cam Newton will bring back more assets.

It’s a legit observation. I have seen others here put forward the theory that this was due to Ron wanting to rest his defense, so Cam was directed to let play clock get down as far as possible. I think what we’re seeing with Allen strongly suggest Cam is mostly the impetus for the play clock frequently getting to zero and us having unnecessarily burn timeouts.

Having said that I would still hold the coaching staff partly responsible. If you don’t hold a franchise qb accountable to improve his pre snap routine by the time he’s 30, it makes me wonder how serious you are about holding him to the same level of accountability you hold others. Because this issue isn’t an occasional or trivial thing, as any serious Panthers fan can attest.

Was certainly refreshing to see 2 consecutive games where we salvage time outs and stay generally free of false starts.

Something equally important I've noticed is how rarely we've been penalized so far this season. We're tied with Indianapolis for least in the league with only 20 penalties called against us so far (they have been penalized 11 less yards, though). This team is very disciplined and playing the game right.

The truth hurts. It's no coincidence the past two weeks have shown a faster pace and no need to burn timeouts.

      Everyone in the stadium saw the RICO face mask except the referees. The eagles fan sitting next to me was saying, man you guys are getting screwed. I don’t know what it sounded like on the tv but the entire place was going crazy.

      Again. Whatever side argument you have going on is not the same as the broader topic at hand. The reality is there is one guy who is completely off limits to some on the huddle and across the fanbase and that is Bryce Young. XL is at least on a basic level understandable because he does so little to help his case. But he has made an impact in games with critical blocks at least and he has actually scored touchdowns. But we all agree he needs to get his shīt together asap because the clock is running out fast. Literally everyone else on offense and defense is and has been fair game to the same people who have a problem with Bryce "haters". That's a simple reality that can be verified just with the threads here since the season started. You don't have to like it. But it is true.
