10+ NFL teams really interested in seeing if Cam Newton goes up for trade

After the hot start that Baker has had this season, if you don't think Cleveland would give the farm for Newton to win right now, you are crazy.  They are a pretty talented group and being held back by their QB.  Put Newton at QB and that team becomes an instant contender.

With that being said, hope that never happens.

Hard to imagine trading him unless you  think you've already got his replacement though.

I did say if he was done and we knew it but that assumes our trade partners feel different. I think it's all hypothetical and wouldn't expect it to be a real possibility until the offseason. It's all hard to imagine except what life without a franchise QB looks like and those were dark days sir I am not looking forward to again. We have a very good back up but that's it. If they believe this, the dark ages are coming again to Panthers football.

Arizona - just drafted Murray, rebuilding X
Atlanta - Ryan still playing at high level, on a multiyear deal X
Baltimore - Lamar Jackson now their young franchise QB X
Buffalo - Drafted Josh Allen as their franchise QB, who is improving X
Cincinnati - Dalton still franchise QB, if they moved from him they are rebuilding regardless X
Chicago - Trubisky is awful, and they are pseudocontenders, they very well might do it ✔️
Cleveland - Baker is their young franchise QB X
Dallas - Dak is their proven young franchise QB X
Denver - Drafted Lock, but may see Cam as an option if Elway still is trying to contend.  Generous inclusion. ✔️
Detroit - Stafford is their franchise QB X
Green Bay - Rodgers is their franchise QB X
Houston - Watson is their young franchise QB X
Indianapolis - Brissett is their young franchise QB X
Jacksonville - Foles/Minshew are their QBs now X
Kansas City - Mahomes is their young franchise QB X
LA Chargers - Rivers is their franchise QB still playing at a high level X
LA Rams - Geoff is their young franchise QB X
Miami - Might consider Rosen their future, either way rebuilding and not looking to contend anytime soon X
Minnesota - They are stuck with Cousins on that deal X
New England - TB12 is their franchise QB X
New Orleans - Brees still QB, Bridgewater being groomed as the successor X
NY Giants - Jones is their young franchise QB X
NY Jets - Darnold is their young franchise QB X
Oakland - Carr is their franchise QB X
Philadelphia - Wentz is their franchise QB X
Pittsburgh - Big Ben still franchise QB, Mason Rudolph the successor X
San Francisco - Jimmy G their young franchise QB X
Seattle - Wilson their franchise QB X
Tampa Bay - MAYBE, very possibly the most "realistic" landing spot, given they've been already rebuilding ✔️
Tennessee - Another landing spot possibility given they've given up on Mariota ✔️
Washington - About to be rebuilding X

Depending on the draft next year, a few of those teams might have taken themselves off the list by drafting a QB prospect in the 1st round anyways.  The market is just realistically not going to be robust at all.

Half the teams on that list with an X would toss their franchise QB out a window for a chance at Cam....you think the Browns would give a damn about Baker and his 11 int if they had a chance at something better?

Dalton not a franchise QB, neither is Derek Carr or Josh Allen.

Big Ben and Rivers are declining fast and might be on their last legs

If Dalton and his 86 passer rating the last three years isn't a franchise QB, why would they trade for Newton and 82 passer rating the last 3 years?

Pittsburgh already has their next guy in Mason Rudolph.  They aren't trading for an expensive QB like Newton.  And Rivers is 37 and still looks good, I imagine they'll negotiation a 2-3 year final deal this offseason.

Oh my goodness there is a reality check coming to a decent sized portion of this fanbase if they think QBs like Baker would be "tossed out the window" for a 30+ year old, health-questionable Cam presumably seeking a big deal.

Matt Ryan is having one of the best seasons of his career. His highest completion percentage at over 72%. Over 100 rating. On pace to throw the most TDs and yards of his career. They aren't trading for Newton.

15/7 ratio and garbage time passing stats in a losing season = career year?

Would you deem Cam untouchable in a similar scenario on this team? Be honest.

You're an idiot. Baker Mayfield is hot garbage.

lol some of y'all can't stand the fact that Cam Newton is in demand from other football teams over their actual current starters

@MVPccaffrey is so deadset on moving away from the guy, yet is conflicted 1/3 of the NFL would trade for him in a heartbeat. It’s getting harder and harder taking these clowns seriously

    • This thread really shows who the morons are, dude hasn't been around bryce for more than 24hours when this was reported and people with low iq still took it and ran with it. Glad to finally see people expose themselves.
    • Racism. I know it's taboo to discuss, but yeah it, it's racism.
    • Is right now the worst time in the history of Charlotte pro sports? The Hornets (formerly Bobcats) have been a dumpster fire since rejoining the NBA 20 years ago. The Panthers were a respectable but frustrating team before David Tepper bought the team, but now they are easily the worst team in the NFL. Charlotte only has 2 sports teams so it's unfair to compare to every other city in the country with a Big 4 pro sports team, because when you have all 4 of even 3, you tend to have one franchise that ends up being successful. If we're taking into account the Hurricanes and ranking NC's pro sports teams as a whole, the Hurricanes make everything look better in NC pro sports. But just taking into account cities with an NFL and NBA team, and excluding their respective NHL and MLB teams, in the last 5 years, Charlotte easily takes the crown for the worst city for pro sports. The only other city coming close is Detroit since the Pistons have been awful, but the Lions were in the NFC Championship last year and should probably have made it to the Superbowl if it weren't for some questionable coaching decisions. Indianapolis could be mentioned because the Colts and Pacers have had a somewhat rough go the last 5 years, but both the Colts and Pacers have had more recent success than either the Panthers or Hornets. Sadly enough I think the Panthers have a better shot at success than the Hornets since the NBA is structured more towards star player driven success and the NFL is a team driven sport where there is more parity year to year. But I'm fairly confident this level of misery will continue for some time.
