While I agree it is a huge loss for them regarding the perspective of the rest of the season, Mack wasn’t going to do dick against our tackles anyway. Our backup TE stonewalled him a couple of times.

That’s the 2nd time we’ve played him and Armstead and Strief/Ramczyk has put him on a milk carton. The only teams he can feast on are teams with trash offensive lines or dumb coaches that can’t scheme to neutralize him.

He didnt do dick two weeks ago either against the Raiders.

I think some folks have gotten the idea that trading in real life is just as easy as it is in Madden.

It's not.

Granted, for bottom of the roster churn, it's not as big a deal. But when you're looking at starters, you're talking about guys that teams and coaches have made a significant investment in.

Not to mention these aren't images on a screen. These are real live, living breathing people that the guys making the decisions have at least some sort of relationship with. Trading them means forcing them to move, uprooting their families, making them start over in a new system / new locker room and a load of other "real world" things.

I get that it's fun to speculate about this stuff, but a lot of these speculations have no roots whatsoever in reality.

Dude that bears offense isn't good. Are you puffing out your chest about that win?

Fixed your reply for you.

The offense is trash, yes. However, that defense was top-5 in points AND yards before yesterday and are still 5th in points today.

Because the Raiders have an offensive minded coach that knows how to gameplan and neutralize him, it was in the last sentence of my post you quoted.

Couldve had and Watson for free

Nothing in college said Trubiski would be better than those guys

Bears need to run the ball and not throw 54 times

When you take a guy #2 you're stuck with him or the Qb,  coach and GM will all be gone together

Could not agree more.

I believe the Bears set an all time franchise record for the least amount of run attempts.

I used to agree with that but the 'new' NFL is very different than it used to be. If a star player want to get traded they literally needed to retire to force a move (See Bengals and Raiders trade).

What last year and this year are showing is that teams are willing to make big moves when they are in 'the window'. Looks how many first round picks have been traded in the last 2 years.

This is a new era, like it or not, players are seen more as commodities.

I can think of on average over 10 million reasons why a player needs to suck it up if that happens... their salary allows them to buy houses in half the United States and still have some salary left. Boohoo.
