McCaffrey took This Loss Personally

From David Newton .

Christian McCaffrey spent a long time sitting in front of his locker after Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Packers. The Panthers running back was hard on himself for not scoring on the final play. But McCaffrey didn't let his teammates down and he kept himself in the running for NFL MVP with 141 yards from scrimmage (108 rushing, 33 receiving) and one touchdown. He has 14 touchdowns on the season, tied for the most in the league.

He had that one play earlier in the season where he didn't get the TD at the end either. This dude has been far from the problem and might be the only reason why we've been in games this year.

As good as he's been he's on a team with a horrible defense and has clown coaches with their head in the sand and he still produces.

I could honestly seem him trying to go to another team as soon as his contract is up if Tepper sits on his hands and doesn't make some serious changes in the next couple years.

I doubt it. CMC is a lot like Luke Kuechly. Doesn't care about some stupid contract. As a matter of fact, he was the first 2017 1st rounder to sign his contract. All he wants is play football to the best of his ability & win.

He ain't another Le'veon Bell.

The playcalling and situation in this game and the Bucs game basically set him up to fail.  Norv Turner just doesn't get it.

He’s probably pretty pissed he has come up short two times with a chance to tie or possibly win the game.  As far as him leaving, doubt it.  Not many teams give out the work load that Carolina gives him.

Agreed. He's been given the final play of the game twice now & he's gone 0-2. This time only inches short. Plus, he's tired, worn out & just froze his ass off.

That's gotta hurt. But it may also mean he'll run with fire next week vs. the Falcons. And you know he HATES the Saints.

    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed.  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
