Darin Gantt says the Falcons had a 42 year stretch of no back to back winning seasons. I've not verified, but he seems to know his facts on this type of thing.

Was VERY glad Tepper talked. It clears the air a bit, especially after Ron's dud of a presser today.

I couldn't remember exactly how long it took them to have back to back winning seasons, but I knew it was at least 35 years before it happened.

The team has been mediocre for most of its existence, I would call that long term. If he won’t accept long term mediocrity he should’ve fired everyone last year unless that wasn’t long enough for him

These tweets put his waiting on firing Ron into perspective. Tepper doesn't do rash decisions. That's good news for us, I think.

He was a first year owner and didn’t want to make any rash decisions.

Wouldn’t have been a rash decision. He knows Ron’s history, knows he and Marty have done zip together. A very small minority of people would’ve had a problem with him making changes.

Ron and Marty have no had actual real time together under any circumstances that one would consider expectations for winning seasons.

I know "facts" aren't a big deal when we are calling for someone's head...but come on.

Most teams haven't been to two Super Bowls in the last 25 years, and I'm pretty sure no other expansion team has.

Well yea if you just want to go by Super Bowls but in reality only two teams make it.

If you want to break it downs into regular season wins/losses since 1995, the Panthers are close to the bottom 30% of the NFL.

Dave Tepper just spoke to a number of local media - mostly on background as a mid-season checkup. From a football perspective, he assured he’s focused on making the franchise a consistent winner. As far as Cam Newton’s future goes, no decision has been made.

Man I am ready for an owner to take charge and build a damn good franchise.  Clean house and bring in guys and players that are committed to winning.
