Are you secretly hoping for a blowout?

Shoot. I’m the definition of Cam-wagon fan, and really don’t care if we win another game. But I sure don’t want to see another game even worse than SF/ATL. That’s not good for anyone.

And Rivera shouldn’t be target #1 in any scenario like this.

You can tell me. I won't tell anyone.

I am secretly hoping the game isn’t so awful I don’t watch the second half, like I did against SF, or leave the stadium at the end of the third like I did last week. I love my team, but no longer to the point of watching a game in which they aren’t competitive. You wait all year for football season. For your team to be in multiple games in a season you don’t even want to finish watching is the ultimate disappointment as a fan imo.

Im not demanding an undefeated season, but at least give me 16 games that keep me watching til the end. Heck, the season before we got Peppers, when we only won the one game, yeah it sucked balls losing all season, but for a team with an awful reacord, we were in almost all of those games til the end. They were compelling. They didn't make me think "I'd rather just get my laundry started for the week instead of watch this poo."

I've been watching the NHL Canes more the last two years...if this trend continues, that won't change.

Still have not watched the Falcons or SF game.

No point.

Maybe I should watch more hockey. The NHL has 2 of the best traditions in sports concerning the Stanley Cup. I think both putting the name of the winning team on the trophy every year and every member of the winning team getting a day with the trophy during the off-season are great ideas.

When the Canes won the Stanley Cup, their goalie got married the following offseason, so ofc the team made his wedding day his day with the Cup. How @#$&ing awesome would it be to have the Stanley Cup at your wedding if you were a hockey player?

”Hey thanks for coming to the wedding, enjoy the reception. You guys want some punch? We got the best punch bowl ever.”

secretly hoping for a blowout win and brees weeping gently on his mole, with the salt content irritating it.  not hoping to see him get hot and lick his fingers 2000 times and twitch his shoulder over and over and over and over.

    • I mean I just don't understand the argument. Baker and Sam both have been pro bowl QBs post their time here. And you just said yourself that is due to him having a damn good roster around him and they are well coached. You're even saying the bad baker is still there somewhere, but he is in a good organization with good roster and coaching that they are getting the best out of him. Why does Baker and Sam get all that benefit of the doubt but when it comes to Bryce it must be a BY9 problem, not an org or team problem?  Hell I got a guy below you arguing with me that Chark/Hurst/Mingo sucked because Bryce wouldn't throw them open. It's ridiculous how far the stretch goes.
    • Correct.  It’s really hard to get open in the NFL when opposing defenses gameplan and cheat coverage/routes on all your players because they know your QB can’t make certain throws/plays.   magically no one that comes to Carolina can get open or make plays with the ball in their hands…..it’s like there is one singular common dominator to it all.  BY makes playing defense way too easy.   NFL players are too good to allow one side to cheat coverage and not respect all the potential threats of a route  so you can dial up a great play.  But if corners and safeties just cheat coverage and know X and Y happening on route/threats….getting open gets hard when they just play it one way.  Getting open has a lot to do with the different threats a WR can pose on a given play.
    • Kinda depends how you look at it both were 3rd round draft pics.  Nico was nothing before stroud and tank came in with stroud.  If both were on the panthers would young have them doing well and starting or would their stats be low.  I really dont know the answer to that.  None of the panthers wrs have left and did well either but personally i feel neither of nico or tank would do much on the panthers.
