why did we bring back a guy who lost 7 straight games?

Evidently the reason is that Tepper didn’t want to make it look like he was just another reactionary owner and wanted to give everyone another shot.

If he doesn’t have his brass balls polished and shining for his Fire Rivera presser Monday I’m going to be f’ing pissed

Panthers used to announce 'Thank you for another sell out' even when stadium was half empty.  That hasn't happened the last couple of games.

We used to get fly overs at the end of every national anthem.  That hasn't happened the last couple of games.

There used to be t-shirt launchers and sponsored 'in game' activities such as 'dance for diamonds'.    Didn't see any of that today (granted I left early).

The secondary market for tickets is damn near non-existent.  That's partly due to the shift to e-tickets but mostly due to the product on the field.

I was no fan of JR (quite the opposite) but I'm still waiting to see one concrete piece of evidence that Tepper is making it a better fan experience including anything that will make this team better five years from now.

But he will get his new stadium for 50 cents on the dollar courtesy of Mecklenburg county taxpayers.

What???!??

you mean, you’re not impressed with the logo at midfield?

How about the new team headquarters in South Carolina that will be the beacon of football and entertainment?

the annual Christmas tree lighting doesn’t suit your fancy?  The $75 per ticket tailgate in the bubble option?  How about the panthers privileges offered to psl owners where you can pay over a grand to park near the stadium on game days?

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
