Where did Albert first report this? Is there a link to anything?

Can't find a thing on his Twitter. Breer does do a lot of podcasts, Periscope and crap.

Worth noting that Nick Caserio's relationship with the Patriots probably isn't so hot after they basically blocked him from getting the Texans GM job last year. Word was he'd still have a shot at it after his contract expired at the end of this season, but since then the Texans have announced that they're not hiring a GM next year.

So yeah, it's plausible. And I have to admit that at least conceptually this sounds like the kind of "swing for the fences" move that David Tepper might make.

Not sure how I'd feel because of the other failed Patriot replications. However, it says something to me that McDaniels went back there after he failed. Belichik wanted him back and he was smart enough to go back and learn more and figure out why he failed the first time. I know the The Golden Calf of Bristol thing sort of backfired but he lead them to a playoff win. I figure McDaniels was trying to go outside the box in a similar manner to what he had seen the Patriots do.

I lived in Colorado during the McDaniels/Broncos debacle. Please no.

Perhaps Josh has learned a thing or 2 from his failure 10 years ago or whatever it was?  There were probably many Pats fans saying the same thing about BB and his time with Cleveland before he was hired in NE.

    • It is, but if they want to compete for a national championship, they have to schedule games like this.  It worked for them a couple of years ago when they scheduled LSU to start the season.  Well, it worked until their qb got knocked out.
    • Hunter wanted to play for Carolina and seemingly only for Carolina.  He didn't make the team.  His comeback attempt was not to achieve the status of the on and off practice squad team (for a bad team).  So I would assume he most likely just walks away.  only inconsistent aspect ever reported or seen (and cameras and eyeballs are on all of it), is when they put him in preseason games w/ a bad QB throwing hospitals (and he still pulled in hospital balls) and zero positive plays occurring because of that.  Every coach we have ever had bullshits on the mic about the actions of the Panthers.    I still say its simplistic.  There was really one spot.  It was Moore or Renfrow up for that.   Dave Canales went with his guy (simply because it's his guy) and he can't get on the mic say it that way.  So there is spin on the decision.
    • Evero tried to leave! He wanted out! That the most amazing thing.  mark my words that move by tepper will haunt us for years. Completely unheard of in that situation.
