Not so sure about that... 

Doesn't sound especially enthusiastic about the idea, but doesn't rule it out.

He did also say and he wants a coach who believes in modern analytics but who also mixes that with "old school discipline".

And to be clear, you can interview assistants that are in the playoffs. The league gives you a window to do so when the season ends. They started doing that after complaints the coaches in the playoffs weren't getting the opportunities.

What they've said they're going to do now is research.
