reminder rapoport has no sources at all and is generally pulling poo out of his ass

He has Perry Fewell, who said a decision on starting QB will be made on Wednesday.  Previously both Perry and Ron have generally said "Kyle Allen is our starter" whenever asked about the QB position.  Things have changed.  If KA was going to start, wouldn't he have simply regurgitated the message we've been hearing all along?  The only time we didn't get an immediate endorsement of the previous weeks starter is when Cam was hurt . . . and now.

Nooooo. We better not win...

Hey man at the end of the 2017 season, the 49ers won 5 straight games after Jimmy G became the starter. Yea he got hurt last year but look at them now. If Grier comes in a lights it up, wins two games in convincing fashion, I'm stoked for next year.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
