NFL: McDermott vs the Patriots

I sometimes wonder what the team could have been if he were made our head coach after 2015.

I wonder about how we'd do with him, but circumstances never really supported it here.

I do suspect a good number of Panther fans probably now believe we'd have been better off with him than Rivera.

Apparently our old buddy Sean McDermott saw some shenanigans he didn't like the last time the Bills played the Patriots and took matters into his own hands.

Good old, McDermott.  The fighting irish...man.

Rooting very hard for the Bills this week. I think (not a hundred percent sure) that even if the Bills win this game, if the Pats beat the Dolphins week 17 they’ll win the division on tiebreakers and the Bills will still be first wildcard. But knocking the Pats down to the 3 seed and no bye would go a long way to making sure they come nowhere near the SB this year.

Our defense declined big time after he left!! I knew it was a matter of time before he would become  HC!! Defense progressively got worse.. too be honest I don’t know the difference of 4-3 to 3-4.. I just know this year was the worse I have ever seen the defense and been too embarrassed for them.. they are so lost!! Hopefully a new staff will bring a better positive culture!!

Rivera's only Coach to have success. Denzel fizzled out, albeit I don't think he was given a fair shot in AZ. A lot of people hated McD here, but regardless that defense responded well and never looked out of place in his tenure here. There were some games that they gave up yards or big plays but the next week that poo was shored up.

I'm rooting for him, that fan base deserves success after being a laughing stock for years.

What hurts more is that Bean is there with him and the Bills have a really really bright future...man what could have been if we retained Bean. Thanks JR...

People really thought it was crazy for the coach to have input on the GM when this was going in in Buffalo. Now it seems where we are going. Maybe there is some sound logic to it. Especially if you view it as the GM's job to collect and manage the pieces the coach needs for his system. They must be on the same page. Then you have a who isn't so system or coach specific? Seems this is what Tepper may be alluding to.
