I don’t think Little can be a guard. Maybe Daley but tackle hit rates are suspect. We’d be risking, yet again, not improving the OL. We are in the mess we are now because we thought we could replace Norwell and Kalil with an UDFA and two guys coming off bad season ending injuries and that all we needed to focus on was a LT. I don’t want to keep ignoring the interiors. Yes, CMC is great but when push came to shove and we needed a power play, we came up short every time and need I remind you of how easy it was for teams to roll right through us. If we ignore DT and G/C, it’ll be the same thing except that we will be forced to continue to pay 25% of our cap on mediocre C/G/DT play.

It’s not just a get a better player, it’s also the fact that our weakest spots are killing our cap.

The risk of "missing" is a terrible excuse to not try to improve a glaring weakness. The risk of missing on a draft pick always exists regardless of position.

Thomas is good.

But this is a Strong OT class. Wirfs and Wills are still better than any OT from last years class.  No need to move up for Thomas

Yeah there are plenty good OT’s but I believe Thomas is way better than everyone else, I think he’s on elite level.

We need less vegans in the trenches then.

Eating vegan meals has been shown to help curb aggression: At Alabama’s highest-security prison, officials found that serving inmates meat-free meals as part of a violence-reduction program resulted in a significant decrease in behavioral problems.

NFL needs to go to an incentive based pay system... it could be tweaked to where a player doesnt get totally fked but guard against the player 'getting paid' and turning to total sht on performance...got to have some accountability with these contracts with an expectation to perform...not heres the ***** money..

You'd be suprised

And actually know a few people who think Wirfs or Wills jumps Thomas in the draft

There are 3 REALLY good OTs in this class and some Studs not far behind

    • It's been many a year since we were in December talking about how games mattered for something other than draft order. This crazy, mixed up, unpredictable, maddening, uplifting and teeth gnashing season has certainly not been boring.
    • If you look at Brown and Horn's contracts, expect to pay above what he is likely actually worth. This is the Panthers suckage tax. Ultimately, much like Derrick Brown, he has steadily improved over time and that's what you want out of your young first round draft picks. He was one of the biggest and most important question marks coming into the season and he has answered it conclusively. He is "the guy" at LT. Great news, one less position of extreme importance to have to attempt to remedy.
    • This is maddening because, well, it's so up and down. When the kid's on, he can be great. When he's mediocre, we can still win based on a strong running game and good defense. When he's bad, and over his history he's this more than not, then it's a sad show that no one could win with. How can anyone know what is going to happen right now? Really. It's like picking one flake in a snow globe and shaking it once a week... there is no telling where it will end up. Things I did see on Sunday from Bryce: his teammates love him; he can make the big throws with good protection and good effort from his receivers. He isn't afraid to run. He can rise up against the best in competition (but he can also sink to the level of bad competition).  All I can say is if Canales goes with an aggressive game plan for Bryce that leans on a hot-hand running game, the team can beat anyone. If there's any wishy-washy play calling, then Bryce melts and couldn't beat anyone.  Maybe the person Bryce needs to win over more than anyone is Canales.
