a great story about pete carroll is when he did his first training camp, the first time he addressed the team in the auditorium he told everyone to get up and find a new seat. Just your typical ice breaker, freshman orientation move. 

Nate Burleson who was a big money WR thought it was stupid and refused to get up.

He was cut like a week later.

Panthers as a team have become mentally and physically soft in comparison to many of their opponents.

The players need a HC that will challenge them in this way.

If some of the players aren't able or willing to rise to the occasion, I'm sure they know where the exit is.

yeah some guys like Sherman who leave and say Pete’s message got stale after a few years due to his college mentality look like idiots when Pete continues to show he can win with whoever he puts on the field.  I hate the Seahawks, but Carrol sure does produce wins and a culture of winning.

Sherman and co also got pissed off at him for how he elevated Wilson above everyone else on the team.

the biggest thing that makes me really happy with this hire is that 10 out of 11 starters on defense were the same from his 1-11 first season to his 11-1 last season. they didn't recruit and sign a bunch of better players, he made the players better via coaching. it'll be interesting to see what he can do with guys like Donte Jackson and Tre Boston who are very physically gifted but wet the bed a lot

Within just a few years of the Seahawks Super Bowl victory there was less than a dozen players left on the team from that roster.

You can get tired of buying into Carroll's message as a player, but you won't be on the team any longer.

Just because this guy can preach to Tepper doesn’t mean the players are going to buy into him. He’s not walking into a room full of college kids. He’s walking into a room full of grown men earning way more than he is. 

Also he sounds like a motivational speaker. That does not mean good things.
