And fug off kids. I'm getting old. I saw the first Panther game. 2003 Patriots Superbowl set my happy endings back to tears n not believing I'd ever see it, to 2015 and an absolute juggernaut of steam that only Ron could fug up and this, that was the nail in Cams coffin. Futures boys may get your wish n pencil dickk Lawrence could be on our team. Hope the guys sleep well in their monitors. Just sad.

With Luke retiring, I see no reason why Rhule would want to keep an aging and injury proned QB around for next year. Rhule can have 19m to help rebuild his team a year earlier and possibly even draft pick(s). Trade him to New England if Tom Brady leaves.

You're right nerd. Why should we ever want to win again? Fools gold. Draft picks niggga!

I don’t think the Luke news changes anything, this notion to blows things up to get the desired results can also backfire and send us spiraling downwards like the browns.

use your resources you have, don’t sell them for unknown commodities

Exactly. This is a business. Reload. Nobody is going to pay money to see a purposely stripped roster and a coach with smarts and hope.

You basically rebuild every season. This notion of losing and losing and losing and that somehow leads to greatness is silly.

What losing leads to is your franchise becoming a doormat welcoming beat downs and humiliation.

Cam is going into a contract year where he needs to ball out and prove himself to land that Russell Wilson deal. How will he be able to do that with this team being torn apart to shreds?

The direction where the team is going and the direction that Cam wants to go may not be on the same playing field. And that's OK. Cam needs to do what's best for him and his future.

i don't know why you guys are hating the idea of a rebuild.   thinking we don't need one is exactly what marty hurney does to the roster every year, and what gets us in this mess.   we need a rebuild and a new philosophy of building a team, and to not get lost in thinking we're 1 player away.   we've been a shooting star twice.    we need to do it differently.   cam deserves to do what he wants.   if he wants to play on a 1 year deal then great.  if he doesn't then great - we let him seek greener pastures

I hope I am wrong but I suspect Cam has limited (relative to fan expectations) trade value. He has not been healthy for the better part of at least two years. I actually think his deep ball was gone for the full 2018 season. It was not until midseason of that year that teams caught on to that fact.

If this is indeed the factual case pertaining to Cam's trade value, should the Panthers be willing to gamble and pay him 21 million and risk setting the teams  rebuilding process back even further?

Ideally, you trade him rather than cutting him. I am just skeptical regarding what that value would be. I simply do not think it as high as many on this board seem to believe. The truth is we have very limited information regarding Cam's health, but what we do know is not good. The Panthers have plenty of information and will get more information regarding Cam's recovery from surgery and hopefully be in a better position to make an informed decision.

Time will tell. I will hope for the best and expect something less.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
