I was actually thinking the same thing when I saw the list.  It makes a lot of sense.  If the are successful, the attrition will begin.  Having the heir-apparent already in place is a smart move.  If somebody hires somebody away for a coordinator or head coach position, the understudy moves up and they hire a new understudy.

I think that the plan to build consistency is to be training new folks to replace those that get poached by other teams if this approach is successful and we win our division. Always having folks in the pipeline to continue the message.. That assumes that all this works out and that isn't guaranteed we have seen the past 2 years.

Yeah I get it. But oline and dline, linebackers and te coach are not Baylor guys. Those all have nfl experience which are key needs for this team with Luke and Olsen gone. And our oline and dline in shambles as is right now. So I’m hopeful. It seems like he’s putting Baylor guys as understudies to those guys with nfl experience.

Brady, Peetz, Angelichio, Meyer, Phair and Simmons.

Phair had experience with Snow. Meyer was like the third or fourth choice for his position.

Still kinda blows my mind that we interviewed three coaches with extensive NFL experience for the quarterback coach job and hired none of them.

Prior connection with Rhule, maybe.

Worth noting that he's actually got more NFL coaching experience than a lot of other guys on the staff, maybe even most of them.
