Yeah--CNN is the problem.  Thank God Fox News taught you to call all news that you don't like "fake."  How would we know the truth without good ole' Fox News?

I am a research professor and I teach validity and reliability every day.  So before I chant "fake news" like a gas-lighted, water-boarded cult member, I look into the process of acquiring information.  Your accusations (above) are not completely true and they mislead.  You cherry pick as well.  This source is one of the most valid, unbiased research outlets that has a very small margin of error.  You can dismiss this as "fake" without knowing anything about it if you want; I get it, the truth hurts.  You are not going to like this, so get your Bactine and start preparing your distracting, misinformed and uninformed rebuttal.

Thank you Sir, this is a godsend. It is almost impossible to find credible, reliable, and unbiased news sources in today’s world. Our President is almost void of fact, he is a walking oxymoron.

I'll admit that I have no idea how to moderate idiocy and ridiculous whataboutism that has nothing to do with the current crisis we face.

Continual Political talk, right or wrong = TB

Facts and Crisis = this thread.

That’d be my compass.

Yes, let's hope that NY has peaked and is beginning to decline. Let's also hope that most other areas implemented social distancing protocols early enough to avoid massive outbreaks. The next two weeks are going to be rough regardless, but let's hope we took enough action soon enough to end up with a situation that's far short of the worst case scenario. Things are bad, but there are glimmers of hope.

I read somewhere suicides were up due to isolation.  It has awful effect on people who go thru depression.

I don't doubt it. As much as my wife and kid and I are driving each other crazy, I'm sure glad to have them around. This isolation would be much tougher to deal with alone.

True.

NYC metro area is very densely populated and to be honest, I don't know what anyone could do with that place.  There is not an arms length of space as everyone is on top of each other.

New York is definitely its own animal.  Not only are they densely populated, but so many people rely on public transportation.  When my boss said we still had to show up to the office, we would drive our cars to work...go straight to our offices and shut the doors until the day was over.  The only reason to get within 6 ft of another person to/at/from work would be on purpose.  Many New Yorkers don't have that option.

My wife is an extroverted person by nature.  So is her family and her friends.  Me not so much.  I have had to consistently be an ass to keep people apart.  It's literally torture for these types of people.  Oh well I must do what needs to be done.

They put busses and the subway on reduced run. This, of course, meant more packed cars during rush hour though. But for the most part people have been staying at home and not using mass transit. With only essential places open, there's not much to go out and do really. Parks, bars, theaters, stores have been closed, etc. Everyone in my neighborhood wears a mask. Yes, we're dense, but we're doing what we have to do. Even with 8.5 million, we still have a high percentage per capita though. The worst infected areas (according to a released map) are mostly in Orthodox Jewish (same communities that spread the massive measles outbreak last year) and poorer areas of the Bronx, Queens, and here in Brooklyn. No idea why that is, but it is. Other than the Orthodox Jews who have their own agenda, everyone gets the same news and knows what's up. Just stay home! The governor made it law that no one can get evicted for 90 days.

    • I believe I just read somewhere that the Rams don't do Top 30 Visits. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of trying to keep information close to the vest.
    • I'm not sure 19 is too high for Rodriguez anymore.  He looks to be moving up boards, but it could be smokescreens.
    • I see XL this way---great athlete.  Good person.  When we drafted him, we knew he was raw.  One year of WR in college (starting) and in HS, he was a QB, I believe. We knew we would need patience with him.  I think year 3 will be make or break.  He is older, and I think that people with his athletic ability have always been better than those with less---but those with less can become more successful.  Why is that?  in my view, it is mental. XL can learn the mechanics and nuances of playing WR if he becomes focused on it and works at it.  I had the opportunity to talk to Armanti Edwards one day after OTAs (great guy) and he discussed how overwhelming it was.  He seemed shocked.  At that time, I knew that Fox hated the pick (I heard him mock Armanti to another coach when he saw Edwards drop a punt from a jugs machine--then I saw Armanti look back at Fox as if to suggest that he was feeling the pressure to please the coach. We forget that these are kids in their early 20s.  At the time, Fox was a lame duck.  Remember when he had Clausen as the #3 QB and was forced to move him up the ladder?  I liked Fox, but I think the climate and culture was influenced by the politics.  Currently, I see another Wr from SC who is struggling, but he is ina  very nurturing, positive culture. Let's see what happens with XL.  I am frustrated too---but XL was a second round talent who was raw and we traded up to get him.  He had 500 yards as a rookie--lets call 2025 a sophomore slump and see if we can't get at least 50 yards per game out of him.  If not, cut bait.
