I'm wondering how much of the online stuff will become "the new normal" going forward.  Be it school, work, etc.

I think a lot of businesses could drop the brick and mortar for the remote employee, especially in the service industry. Businesses will be adjusting their business continuity plans from here on out. Why not just pay for the employees internet and communication devices and drop the store front, it just makes too much sense.

As someone who currently is required to go into work.  What you are asking for is impossible.

Correct.  And that's exactly what some people are attempting to do, create an absolute impossible standard for going back to life.  In the end its about assessing, mitigating and accepting risk.  We've done it our entire lives, and will continue to do it for the rest of our lives.

Yeah fug you.  Those are real answers to your questions.

1. We will take all precautions we can.  Ill wipe the floor with you if you try to paint me as some profit motivated capitalist only concerned with our bottom line. The health and well being of the folks who work under me are paramount to me.

2. You making assumptions about how contagious I think the virus is is just you being an ass and trying to score internet points.  I closed our offices 2 weeks before the state mandated it and 1 weeks before we knew one of our owns family was afflicted by COVID-19. I/we knew how bad this was.

1. So why does it have to be one extreme or the other?  Can someone who's not a greedy capitalist only concerned about money still make a rational decision about getting back to their life?  I guarantee you they can.

2. I didn't make an assumption about how contagious YOU think the virus is.  You have made a decision based on your own judgement.  I'm pointing out that there are those out there, some with very loud microphones, who have painted this thing as something that its not.

Yeah but this is a new disease and a large part of America can’t wade themselves past click bait headlines designed for maximum shock value.

I agree.  People need to step back, take a deep breath, read the data for themselves and make sure to always remember that the media makes more money the more they can scare people.  They are loving this right now.  They are also heading the charge on moving the goalposts, and some people are playing right along with it.  I'm happy to see people getting back to work, however I do think that areas that rely heavily on public transportation (like NY) need to stay shut down longer than most of the rest of the country.

Agree.  It made sense to treat the whole country like NYC until no one else became NYC.  Now it’s time to start opening back up.  Unfortunately I’m seeing a lot of goalpost moving from people terrified to leave their homes. The vast majority of people are going to be ok even if they catch it, assuming they haven’t already had it.

EDIT: I don’t begrudge anyone for staying at home but current data shows that it’s a statistically irrational position for healthy people under 65 to be afraid of going out at all.

    • It's the same false hope that has stunk up this place since the week before. It was the exception and not the rule. Really bad look to see it from a professional vs a pack of beat up fans.   Run the ball, keep it close and pray they allow another comeback is the maximum game plan with Young.
    • His overall lack of awareness is what kills me. He has all the physical tools, but seems to stay checked out mentally.
    • Last night, Bryce was missing horribly when there was no pressure.  TMac seemed to show some frustration on the sideline.  Bryce is showing no signs of going through progressions.  The look off that went to TMac for 6 was always going to TMac....When they saw the safety crowding the box, it was the call.  Why we did not do this more is a mystery--it does not necessarily reflect poor playcalling--it probably reflects a lack of confidence in your QB. Bryce has one good game against the Falcons and starts acting as if he has arrived.   It was a good game sandwiched between two atrocious games.   If we do not move on, this franchise is not determined to win.
