Just watch it, be warned it’s some seriously grim poo. Out of the the ventilator patients 70-86% mortality rate.

I don't like it when people talk about the US in terms of our "hospital system" as if we are a smaller country and its all related and co-mingled.  However, even though the hospital overburden will be felt mainly in pockets...its still a scary reality in those areas.  And even when its not a complete overburden of cases, it still strains the system and hurts results.  I think I heard one doctor say something to the effect of "if I can realistically give quality care to up to 20 patients a day, what do you think happens when I'm suddenly seeing 30, 40, 50 patients a day?  Everybody's quality of care they receive depreciates, even the initial 20 I was able to take good care of."

I really liked his point about this being a +1 virus, meaning most other things will remain the same.  Hell, I just had a car accident last week.  It wasn't a bad one in terms of bodily injury, but people don't stop needing medical care just because Rona is in town.

Regardless how you feel about CNN, Chris Cuomo has been diagnosed with Covid-19. This disease is unbelievable, we have not faced a problem like this since, the early 1900’s. I think we will be fighting this for the next 4 months, then battle it again in the fall.

The 100-125 year problems are coming around again. Pretty soon there will be a dust bowl in the south again. 100 year floods are due too.

Maybe, in varying degrees.

By the fall, I am hopeful that we will be better prepared to stem the outbreak with better testing, tracing and treatments. Fauci said as much on Sunday.

Virginia governor just issued a stay at home order in effect until June 12.

Also found out that our federal government sent China 18 tons of medical supplies in February when they should have been preparing for an outbreak... really pisses me the F off.

That is a morale killer for sure. June 12th.

..... would you rather a morale killer or being dead?

That’s a false dichotomy.

I believe that by June 12th there will be different rules for how we deal with this threat. It’s reasonable to ask everyone to stay home for a month or 6 weeks.  After we get more data and have ramped up the ability to treat the virus I don’t expect it will be reasonable to have everyone under orders to stay home in June.

    • Why do we always let our good players go ?   CMC was injured and we let him go . Now we face him Monday night .  We know what Chuba can do . We know what Rico can do .  We signed Chuba so why not sign Rico .   we don't know what we have in Brooks ,  Let him and Eteine go at it in camp . Keep the better player .  Don't let your proven players leave .
    • Oh, I get it. I called him Peewee for the first couple of years. He is too small to be an NFL QB. It wasn't as much of a problem in college, even in the SEC, because every player in the NFL is the size and speed of the biggest 22 on your entire college team.  I was left scratching my head over the pick and what we traded to get him (and yes, that cost analysis is unavoidable). Now we're sunk into the third season and the kid just popped a frikkin' amazing game out there where he showed every mark of what you need in a top end QB. Great passing, mobility, guts, toughness (that ankle must have been killing him) and the ability to put a team on his back to claw back a win. He didn't win it with his arm so much as by getting the ball to the right people at the right time, but that is what the best do. Do I believe he's going to be our QB of the future here? I'm still out on that. Way out on that. But I'm at least intrigued. Can he replicate what he did or even get close? Can he perform well against the power opponents we have left on the schedule? Heck, can he even beat New Orleans this season?  Right now, my personal feeling is that he'd make a heck of a back-up QB. He could prove me wrong and excel, though. Maddening as it is, that'd be the best outcome ever. Or he could have just hit his peak. And that would be bittersweet because then we start the whole thing over again. I don't see a reclaimation project QB out there right now that Canales can work his magic on.
