Unfortunately for the Saints, you cant improve someone's IQ. If he is the starter after Brees, itll be a good thing for us and everyone else in the NFCS.

The Saints are already over the projected cap in 2021 by 8 million, with pending FAs like Larry Warford, Sheldon Rankins, Kamara, Demario Davis, Jared Cook, and 5th year option decisions on Ramczyk and Lattimore.  Not to mention, Brees probably retiring, and still leaving them with 20+ million in dead cap if he does retire.  

Perfect time to give Tayson Hill 16 million guaranteed on the same day you're also signing Jameis. 

If the Saints don't win the Super Bowl this year, they're officially dead.

I’ve always believed in Jameis. This is a good move for him. With his improved vision and sitting behind Brees for a year, he’ll be good to resume his starting duties

From historically accurate QB to historically inaccurate QB... that's a helluva step down from starter to back up.

Now, he could be offering intelligence on Arian's offense, but I've never been impressed with Jameis' intelligence.

That’s a lie. Ron is a better head coach top to bottom than Arians. Arians won coach of the year serving as the interim HC with Andrew Luck as his QB. He got hired by Arizona to a very very good team that was loaded and never took them to the SB. Tampa finally hired him and he managed to win 7 games in a weak NFCS last season.

You mean Carson Palmer? Let’s remember who Carson Palmer is now. Former #1 overall pick and a Heisman winner. Was traded to Hue Jackson and the Raiders for a 1st and 2nd. Then traded to Arizona for a late pick because the Raiders suck. Arians isnt going to make Tom Brady this upcoming season if there is one. He couldn’t do anything with Jameis Winston who has all the talents in the world; a Heisman winner, National Champion and #1 overall pick. The guy who completed 25 of 27 passes in his first game at FSU and we all were wondering when he was going to throw the first incompletion. Tom Brady will make Bruce Arians look like he’s again, another top HC in the league.

While he does seem kind of dumb I wouldn’t make any assumptions about his intelligence. That wouldn’t make us any better than the bigoted Cam haters that say the same thing.

He might have a genius football acumen and simply get nervous too easily or just flat out not accurate enough. Getting his eyes fixed will certainly help him though.

Would have been a ballsier move to sign Cam though.
