NFL: The Imperial Quarterback...

Mr. Scot

...and his passive aggressive style.

(from longtime Packers writer Bob McGinn in The Athletic, as quoted by PFT)

Public niceties aside, my sense is [coach Matt] LaFleur, fresh from a terrific 13-3 baptismal season, simply had enough of [Aaron] Rodgers’ act and wanted to change the narrative. With a first-round talent on the roster, the Packers would gain leverage with their imperial quarterback and his passive-aggressive style. If the Packers do indeed want to become a running team next season, they surely wouldn’t want Rodgers rocking the boat and becoming even more difficult to coach

I just think it's funny that Rodgers is getting Favre'd. His career has certainly come full circle. I'm sure the Packers are hoping for a repeat of last time. Get a couple more seasons out of a surefire HOFer to pave the way for another surefire HOFer.

To be fair, most people liked Favre.

General consensus regarding Aaron Rodgers is that he's an a--hole.

Probably because he is.

I don't doubt that.

When you're incredibly rich and famous and practically your entire family STILL writes you off, you have to be an incredible asshole.

Case in point...

Rodger's isn't quite the Dan Marino quality of terrible human being, but he's certainly worn off the golden boy shine over the years. I think everyone is just tired of him at this point. He has all the talent in the world, but he just whittles down that locker room.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Rogers about to become the 2021 mercenary QB needy teams dream about.

In your dreams, could you imagine him as a Panther, with the skill players to throw to?

(and I think the writer meant IMPERIOUS.  If you're gonna spout uncommon words, learn how to use 'em right.)

..."Momma, hand me that dictionary..."

    • I don't really care but I think a team making a playoff push later in the season with injury issues would give up the same compensation the Vikings are offering now. I also don't see why so many people think the Vikings are ready for a playoff push when JJ Mccarthy hasn't even played an NFL regular season game
    • This is where I am at also. Vikings literally have no other receiver outside of Jefferson week 1. I'm pretty sure their slot receiver from last year was pretty awful and they wouldn't mind upgrading with Thielen over nailor. If they aren't going to at least offer us a fourth, then keep them on the team. There will be other teams that have injured receivers that will want him later on in the season
    • .a wildly inconsistent & undersized Qb who has had way many more lows than highs in his NFL carrer .& a defense that has more holes than whac-a-mole so yeah i am very curious slash semi excited  to see what actually happens?
