TBH, this is a legit CB1 that I did not think we would sign bc he would cost too much.

I wonder how much he's looking for, and if we can get a bargain discount. To be in FA past the first two waves and now the draft, this is where players sign 1 or 2 year prove-it deals. At 29 years old, he could solidify our spot for the next year or two while we draft or find our future CB1.

Ryan is reportedly looking for a similar deal, per ESPN’s Ian Rappaport. Last month, Rappaport tweeted the following:

“Touched base with someone close to #Titans free agent CB Logan Ryan, one of the top players available. The versatile DB is open to entertaining all offers and will consider a short term deal. I’m told he won’t take less than $10M per year he earned last year.”

You guys are sleeping on Donte. He’ll be the #1

Too bad other teams have 3-5 WRs on any given play.

It is a bit of a cliché but in some ways you are only as strong as your weakest cover guy.

Good teams can choose who to go against.

Which exactly comes available June 1, with some moves.

Yikes - $10M at this point in FA?

He’s worth it, but might be too rich for our blood. Then again, I said the same about Anderson.

I would like to see us resign Cockrell to a 2 year deal for something like 6 mill total. Honestly thought he did well when he wasn't assigned to cover top end WRs with elite level speed.

If we sign Cockrell, that could allow us to experiment with Pride at the other outside CB and have Jackson run the nickel. If we don't feel like Pride is ready, then we can either sign another outside CB and move Jackson to the nickel or sign a nickel CB.

Someone cheap like Cockrell should work. Our CBs are definitely going to be our weakness. I just want to give Pride a chance to learn before throwing him out there against top WRs. Our defense can’t be fixed overnight so we will have plenty of issues. The main goal should be developing our young talent properly.

Akeem King

The 6-1 corner who has spent time in Seattle and Atlanta would bring a little more veteran presence to the cornerback room – he’ll be 28 in August – and can play on both the outside and in the slot, where he makes for a good matchup with tight ends – Pete Carroll used him last season when the team faced a lot of 2TE sets – and with the tight ends in the NFC South, King would be an inexpensive and versatile option to add to the defensive back rotation

Brandon Williams

After spending 2019 on injured reserve, Williams could do with a fresh set of circumstances after earning the starting cornerback job during training camp his rookie season, underwhelming on the field in his first couple of games and being relegated to special teams duty for the remainder of his deal. But Williams showed the athletic tools at Texas A&M after converting from running back to corner and with three years of NFL training at corner under his belt, he could be ready for a larger role. Not to mention, he’d likely be inexpensive and have the upside to contribute, with the absolute minimum being an extremely-athletic upgrade from some of the players currently on the depth chart
