We are the future of the nfc south

Until we get a QB, we are not the future.

This ..... simply because the other three teams have older QB's they are and will be looking for their QB of the future very soon, if not while their older guys finish out their careers.  There is no saying the Panthers will be successful at that before the others and that will ultimately determine who the future of the division will be.  The Panthers are not really any further ahead on this than the other three except maybe getting a top ten pick in next years draft.

Only if we get a franchise QB. I we had just drafted tua I would agree with you. Timing is everything. We’re in prime position. I hope we take advantage

Tua would’ve helped steer the direction of this franchise in the right path quickly. Should’ve made a deal with Detroit but we didn’t. Now, we better hope that we can get a crack at Trevor, Fields or Lance. And we may have to invest future picks for one of them boys. I’m not a big fan of Sam Howell in 2022.

Saints Drew Brees 41 - retiring within two years Winston doesn’t scare me when he takes over. Payton honestly could position himself to take over the Cowboys job is Mike Mcarrthy isn’t successful ASAP. TAYSOM hill is 29 currently. AK And MT obviously could be long time playmakers but you never know with contracts and injuries.

Falcons Matt Ryan is 34 / i for one believe his success has been because of Julio (31) and a decent supporting cast. But again in the next two years things can look a lot different.

Bucs It’s this year or bust. Chemistry takes some time. OJ Howard will get better under gronk. I don’t want to put a clock on Tom Brady, he seems to defy all odds. I can’t see him ruining his legacy fighting for a title with the Bucs. Their defense is primed to be solid for a long time.

Panthers I for one believe Teddy will surprise people with his consistency. He obviously won’t have the same peeks and valleys as cam. I do hope we are able to land a Trevor Law or Justin Fields. Our defense will get this year and next to learn these offenses in the nfc south and hopefully play the back end of their rookie deals with NO Tom, NO JULIO, NO Brees.

I guess what I’m saying is, that eventually every team will have to rebuild in the NFC south soon.We are doing it first. If Matt Rhule isn’t successful in the next 3-4 years, I will be sad lol

Sorry but it’s hard for me to be proud of thinking we can finally be relevant on the condition the NFCS gets too old to compete or are all rebuilding lol.

Guess I have high standards.

Assuming Brees and Brady don't play to 50...

Nothing about Brady's play last year implies he can. Much as it chagrins me to admit it, Brady is probably the GOAT, but even the GOAT looked like an average qb last year, and time waits for no man. Brees had a great year last year but looked average the year before. They might play a few more years at the very most but that's it.

    • Them playing behind a couple more seasoned guys until they get familiar with coverage and pace of play is a good thing though. We really can use them to spell the other guys, and in situational ball especially with Ransom on possible run/blitzing downs.
    • They fuged him over so bad to help cover their bad judgement. About time he got a little something to wrk with.
    • I think completion percentage is a bit of a overinflated stat for a qb too. People place to much stock into it. So many factors to consider with it : receivers, how many attempts are made deep, the defense etc all play a roll in it. When it’s considerably low 50% or less the QB accuracy can come into question. But I don’t think it’s necessarily one of the better percentages to put so much importance into for that position. General effectiveness is far more indicative of the QB you have. First downs, 3rd and 4th down conversions, points scored and clutch plays IMO is how you grade a QB. Always bothered the poo out of me how people downed Cam for his completion percentage and that’s what they used to disregard him as an all time great. Dude damn near averaged 3tds to 1 turnover a game and was an obvious difference maker for us.
