Oh man, there were many here. Should've been here to see it. "Give him 20 mil!" that's exactly what was said along with other things as if he were the next great QB.

That's just foolishness, As bad as this team is at pretty much every postion but WR,RB,RT and NT it was more ideal to roll the dice with Cam on a one year deal or ride KA on a peanuts exclusive rights free agent then RFA and if somehow he blew up FT.

This team isn't a season or two away it has a massive dead cap holes everywere, I for one don't care about the playoffs NFCS titles NFC titles ect none of that matters without a SB, 23 seasons of this sh*t.

Fair assessment. And when I say I don’t like Teddy it’s not some personal jab at the guy. He might be a great guy. But at the end of the day, our franchise think tank decided it was a good idea to get rid of Cam Newton because of “health concerns” to pickup a guy who hasn’t gone into a season as a starter in forever and who completely obliterated his knee and has every bit the health concerns IMO that Cam Newton might have. On top of that, they gave him an insane contract to boot. And the guy is a mediocre QB and that’s fine if you have a really talented team around him. But we signed a mediocre QB to a 3 year deal for insane money in the midst of a complete rebuild. So again I have no personal beef with Teddy B. and hope he has some unprecedented lightbulb go off and has a career year and balls out, but I’m certainly not gonna bet even a dollar against a hundred that that is going to happen. It’s not Teddy’s fault but it is what it is.

Jeez, when you put it that way, it almost sounds like the team is owned by someone who has no fuging idea how to run a football team.

I don't post here as often as I used to. . . people here were saying this dumb poo???

Yep.

The panthers are the hornets at this point. People pay no attention to them, but if they do good, yay. It will take an exciting player to drum up that excitement again. CMC can’t do it alone. We need Lawrence or Fields. I want that, because I don’t trust Tepper. He has no ties here, and I know stadium talk is coming. I don’t want to end up like the old hornets, where folks weren’t really concerned with them leaving

I flew to Arizona to watch Cam play in his first game with my wife and my mom. My mom took up photography as sort of a retirement hobby and took a picture of Cam under center for his first snap and made it a mousepad for me for work as a Christmas gift that year. We were all super fuging pumped. That’s the big dick energy that Cam brought to the team.

Yep. There's literally NO energy surrounding this franchise anymore. I literally can't get hype for gamedays this year. Once Cam left, so did all that hype and energy. Dumbass franchise kicking their best player in franchise history to the curb for Teddy Fuggin Bridgewater.

I will also say McDaniels has set Cam up for success in NE.  I watched the entire game and McDaniels who comes across as a cocky SOB really had a nice game plan for Cam.  Interesting to see an OC really play to Cam's strengths and reigning him in when needed.....something the Panthers rarely did.  Still it's all about the difference in O-Line play....keep Cam upright and he proved he can still do it all.

I honestly think that a big part of us moving away from Cam is that Tepper wanted a new franchise face for his new franchise era. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the vibe I get. Tepper seemed ready to move on from Cam from the moment he signed the ownership paperwork.

Tepper is just an egotistical billionaire.

I think Tepper wanted to move on from Cam and get a new face for his franchise, but I don't think the man is dumb. If Teddy doesn't play a lot better and show that he can potentially lead this team to wins, Tepper is gonna be pounding the table for a QB in the 1st.
