kinda interesting how the patriots are using cam

the good thing about that situation to me is how good cam sounds in his interviews.  he's got all the support, information, coaching, great culture that he never had here and you can hear it in his voice.  its like there's a giant weight off of him even though on the field the weight of their success is still on his shoulders

The Patriots are using Cam the same way the Panthers' did and the only way Cam knows how to play football and the only way he is a starter in the league.  We'll see if he holds up and I don't think he can for a full season but I'm pulling for him.

Their plan the last game was completely different than the first 2 games. Typical Bill fashion, they are switching up week to week.

Cam, the athlete, gives him what he never had before. A big, mobile QB.

His arm isn't what it use to be; but it doesn't need to be. They are forcing opposing teams to crowd the line of scrimmage, and they are still running into it.

I'm still really sad and disappointed that they got rid of Cam for Bridgewater. Cam was on a 1 year contract. Maybe there's more behind the scenes, there was a bunch of poo on instagram that alludes to that, but I would have thought keeping him for one more prove-it year would have been better than bringing in an expensive version of Kyle Allen.

Back on topic, really happy for Cam and glad to see he's still able to be a quality starter in the NFL. Patriots were the best place for him, no better team to get the best out of a player than their coaching staff. He might win a Superbowl there if he stays healthy.

That called being humbled by being cut.

Cam is playing average at best.  Pats won’t give him a long term deal unless he proves that 1 yard gains in 4th down aren’t too much to ask

He is doing the majority of the ground work for the Patriots while completing 68% of his passes throwing to nobodies and a washed up Edleman.

only reason Cam Newton doesn't get a yard and didn't in that example.....is the bodies in front of him got blown up and beat.

Cam is on pace for 32 tds this season. Teddy is on pace for 11. If Cam is average at best you must really hate Teddys play so far.

even if he doesn't get a ring the man is going to get paid next year.

The list of teams I could see him playing for next season grows every week.

There really aren’t that many options for Cam for next year.

Jets, Giants, Redskins and Broncos could give up on their young QBs, but that will most likely be for Lawrence, Lance and Fields.

Bears are a possibility depending on how Foles finishes the year.

Steelers, Saints and Colts could need QBs if there are retirements, but the Steelers and Saints have negative cap room next year.

I think the chances are very high that he stays in New England.
