He puts too much onus on the CB's tackling on the line period. Fix your DL scheme dude. When we have A and B gap wide open on both sides during a run before the snap, you have a problem.

Some of that is scheme but a lot of that is a player issue. Short has been underwhelming, we lack depth at DT, Burns is smaller for a DE on run stopping and Gross Matos is a rookie who is still getting his feet wet.

Oh for sure, I don't think short is underwhelming personally(injured to the point he probably won't a snap here again, if not the league, most likely). But ya its a lot on the players too. We need to sure up our LB's and rushing DL this offseason and I think we'll have a hell of a unit.

The A & B gaps are between center and guard and guard and tackle.  Crack Tosses go to the perimeter which is outside of the tackles and the entire point of the play is to force cornerbacks to make the tackles. Here's a good explanation if you are unfamiliar with the play.  Obviously if you want your DL out there then you are making your A&B gaps even wider.

Corner stopping the run....we got rid of Bradberry but we have mr dodge out of the way of the RB duo in Boston and Jackson lol...oh boy.

But hey those arm tackle dive sideways when you could have went shoulder in are fooling someone around here I'm sure.

Yes, I was saying that due to the lineups in Igo KK post and how us lining up split open more to help the CB's as Snow was talking about leaves those gaps wide open.

Thus the need to re-scheme.

I'd rather us take away the middle and trust the LB to make the play alas we don't have Luke and Davis(In their primes) anymore.

love this from  Joe Person tweet:

it should be so obvious, but feels like rocket science vs. Ron. I’m so excited about this coaching staff.

obsolete vs new and inovative...

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
