big players make big plays in big games

this season is a litmus test by which we test whether teddy bidgewater - who is solid - is a franchise quarterback.

this game was a litmus test for that season.

that fourth quarter was a litmus test for that game.

teddy is solid but he failed this particular litmus test.

time will tell if he will pass the next couple, likely starting next week against new orleans.

There were very fine people on both sides of the 4th down. DJ could have nabbed it but Teddy made a poor throw.

Absolutely no excuse for the final INT though. That was awful. Probably learned that from Brees.

there are very few wide receivers who even get a finger on that ball, let alone actually almost haul it in. it was an atrocious throw at a critical moment in the ballgame.

It's insane to me people are actually defending that throw.

Oh it was bad no doubt. But DJ won’t make that excuse. He pretty much had the catch and botched it rolling down.

This thread about Teddy or DJ Moore?

Let's see if you can answer honestly.

yeah Moore is absolutely not a Steve Smith type player who makes the play; that's anderson

unfortunately Moore would have had two TDs today with better throws. The first you can saw bridgewater was pressured but that 4th quarter throw was inexcusable.

I normally do not agree with you here but this is spot on.

If D.J. is supposed to be a #1 WR he's gotta come down with thoses. Those are the off kilter throws Ryan, Ben and Hopkins used to throw to Julio, Brown and Nuk respectively.

D.J. was more of a let down than Teddy today.

However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down.
