Outside of Moton, they're all pretty easily replaced, especially Paradis.

Okung is good, but for how long? We need a left tackle of the future there.

I definitely want a guard in the 3rd or 4th. I think we need to go defense to fill some massive holes in the 1st or 2nd.

Okung has a few more years I think(hope).

Theyve still been good enough this season to put us in a position, and that's all you can ask.

I mean really ask yourseld this.

Would you rather have this current offense with a first (mid 1st rd) OL added and still have Ian Thomas at TE

Or this OL the way theyve been playing in this new system under the new staff, with a Big target like Pitts added.

Ill take the later all day every day

I want to see how Okung looks at season's end before I'm ready to say.

Not against actual good defenses.

Bridgewater's release was enough to cover for them against other teams, but not against teams like the Bears.

Doesn't matter how many weapons you have to throw to if your quarterback is under pressure.

You dont think it has anything to do with the quick passing attack Joe Brady has installed that the Saints have killed us historically.  Its not just us playing bad defenses, its been more the staff and OL play improving.

The Bears just happen to have quite possibly the best front 7 in football right now.

Again, look at Atlanta's OL with 1dt rounders across the board, then look at their offense.

I really don’t want to go TE in round 1. People post about QBs in round one not hitting, TE is a minefield.

Kelsey was a 3rd, Ertz a 2nd, Kittle a 5th, Waller a 6th, Hooper a 3rd, Higbee a 4th, Andrews a 3rd, Goedert a 2nd, Witten a 2nd and Henry a 2nd.

That’s not some random list of players, that’s the top 10 TEs by yardage last year. Howard, Engram, Hokenson, Njoku and Ebron aren’t considered top 10 guys. Fant has a chance but who knows if it’s because he’s a top target for now.

Anyway, I get really scared of TEs. Some people wanted Howard over CMC. Howard went before Tre’Davious White and Njoku went right before TJ Watt and Ryan Ramzcyk. If we take a TE top say 10 there’s very likely a stud CB or LB or DT that we passed over. Anyone remember the Jets fans chanting for Warren Sapp before they picked Kyle Brady? Samuel has been a bit of a disappointment and he went well after Howard but his career stats are right behind Howard and ahead of Njoku.

I was saying yesterday we need a STUD TE...then someone tells me we just don't use the TE...then I said agreed...because our TEs are POO!!!

That’s true. I believe Moss had 50 catches at LSU last year. That’s a lot in college for a TE. Brady will use them if they offer an advantage.

But would you want to go OL instead?  The position that has been the most unpredictable and the biggest bust rate among top draft picks?

Yes TEs, you can get good one's later that end up better than the 1st rounders.  But again that happens a Lot with other positions.

Love you threw the OJ Howard in there.  I was all aboard the George Kittle train that year and beatbthe drum thatbwe should've drafted him in the first.  I even mentioned I felt he had betyer upside than Howard.

Remember the crowd who swore Andre Dillard was going to be a perennial pro bowler and we were crazy to draft Burns over Dillard.

Heck this years OL crop was the most highly touted in years.  And while most of the top guys have been studs.  Andrew Thomas who was the top OT out of them has been a total flop

Atlanta's line suffered a lot from Matt Ryan melting down, but you saw what their offense could do last game.

The line I find to be a better example though is the one in New Orleans. An awful lot of what they do is predicated on that line being as good as they are.

Throw in that as a former OL coach, Matt Rhule is known to be a proponent of strong lines. I'm hoping to see that play out for us as well.

I've broken down the All-22 for the first 6 games LSU had in 2019. He is a terrible blocker when he's not assisting a down block with a tackle. He wasn't drafted and didn't last on the *Washington Football Team.

I was just speaking on his catching a bunch of balls last year. Not saying Moss was a good player or good all around TE. Just that Brady will use a TE to catch if the scheme shows he will be open.

    • Nothing wrong with starting to look for bodies early. It's a long injury filled season. I doubt we get through unscathed.
    • We're in alignment regarding Thielen not being a game changer/breaker for the Panthers. Getting the ball into hands of playmakers like TMac and XL is going to open up things more than it is getting it to Thielen underneath (or letting him go after 50/50 balls 20yds downfield in his mid-30s). However, in a room where the other guys are two second year guys and two rookies, having a reliable vet that they can learn from is just as important as it is for the QB to have as a reliable third option. I can see that being worth $8.5M (just 3%) of the $279.2M cap... especially when looking at what's left out there: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/position/wr However, the idea that the team is forcing production to Thielen and leading to losses isn't supported by the data. Targets, not receiving yards, are how you can tell if a player is being "force fed." In the two games mentioned, let's look at the other players available... vs. TB 10 targets - Adam Thielen 9 targets - David Moore 8 targets - Tommy Tremble, Xavier Legette 3 targets - Jonathon Brooks 1 target - Dan Chisena, Feleipe Franks, Stephen Sullivan vs. PHI 11 targets - Adam Thielen 8 targets - Xavier Legette 5 targets - Chuba Hubbard, David Moore 2 targets - Tommy Tremble 1 target - Ja'Tavion Sanders, Deven Thompkins There isn't exactly a bounty of other names to throw the ball to. In those games, AT was one of the top 2 WRs. Diontae had been gone by that point.   So... yea. Agreed that Thielen isn't exactly carrying the team in his mid-30s, but it's undeniable that he was the most reliable target last season that still has quite a bit of value this season. Whether or not that value is reflected in a manner folks think on the contract is going to come down to personal taste. However, the idea that the team was forcing production to AT and that was the reason behind some losses couldn't be further from the truth.
    • I would also add that I think it's more than money.  AT has looked absolutely miserable out there at times, and there was a lot of speculation he would demand to be traded.  Personally, I thought he was a lock to be moved last year.  Maybe his hamstring is the only thing that prevents that from happening. The fact that he's not only willing to come back and play, but excited about it, really bodes well for Bryce.  AT is a veteran and he knows the game.  If he didn't have confidence in Bryce, I guarantee you he wouldn't be in a Panther uniform this year.  I'll take that as a positive.
