To their credit, the Panthers tried to make that very transparent from the get go with all the talk of a "five year plan" not looking for quick fixes, etc.

I’m sure they’re even surprised at the success they’ve had this season record wise.

Ah the whole ‘equation’ mantra. If if if the saints do this and bucs do that and falcons don’t do this and we’re able to do that and not this...

lol how about just winning the damn division and not relying on the NFCS to suck to get in.

When we can be #1 despite what any other team does is when I’ll consider the Panthers arriving.

The NFL is chock full of sh-tty teams this season.

Even a mediocre team might look good by comparison.

With a lot of those sh!tty teams trending downward.

Teams with new coaching staffs looking awful still. Teams with rosters that’ll need a complete makeover.

It certainly seems like we have a good one based on what we’ve seen and we’re trending in the right direction.

I agree. Cream has risen to the top quickly this year because other teams are falling apart in epic ways.

Teams like Dallas, AZ, CLE, CIN have newer coaching but aren't necessarily showing up or look good.  AZ's record won't stick.

PHI, DET, ATL, MN, NE are on mega rocky ground right now.  Don't know about the longevity of their vets, coaching, etc.

WAS, HOU, JAX, NYG and NYJ are simply falling apart.

SF is the team having "that" year with the injury bug hitting mega hard.

None of those teams are trending up.

Then...

NO, Denver and Vegas are my TBD tight now/can't quite tell.

We're trending upward along with LAR, CHI on the rebound and maybe LAC with Herbert.  There's not much but we're the one team trending with a new coach.

Then...the cream:

TEN, PIT, KC, GB, TB, BUF, SEA

Voth doesn’t tweet a lot but when he does you should listen.

So if you like what you’ve seen from Rhule and co. so far, be patient and... trust the process.

But I’m sure come Sunday if we lose we’ll get more of the same reactionary threads

I am absolutely happy with what I see.  Though we aren't a championship caliber team.  I do think the foundation is solid. Rhule has a plan and we need to be onboard with his plan.

Expectation for this season was 3-6 wins. Anything in excess of that is just icing for me. If they can find a way into the playoffs and get some playoff experience under the young guys belts, fantastic. But I have my expectations in check and have been very pleasantly surprised so far.

    • Well he quickly deflected the question about Rico's "almost 7 YPC." He is very polished and he transitioned well to non-answers and side steps. I can see why a guy like him was able to pull the wool over on guys like Tepper.
    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
    • In the locker room after the Dallas game, multiple  players said FEED him when Canales mentioned Rico stats. That already made me think even the locker room wouldn't care if Rico got the touches rn. This is on Canales indeed and I agree n the Qb take.  We aren't winning  bc of Bryce  but he has been managing it. Had the Jets had Qb aptitude,  we could've probably  lost that game too. All they would've needed is 14 points. Regardless, we got a team  that's being built up and that position needs an overhaul.  If ww lock in to Bryce, it'd be no different  than the 49ers locking into Purdy. Can't do it!
