Our current line is terrible.

We've really only got one legit starter. Across the middle, Chris Reed, John Miller and an overpaid Matt Paradis are as sh-tty a combination as I've seen in years.

If Okung and/or Daley could be counted on to stay healthy, you might at least have something. Unfortunately, they can't. And the only guy we've got that's worth a damn isn't even under contract next year.

If you're going to invest in getting a franchise quarterback but then stick him behind this bunch, you're wasting your time.

All of this.

Folks are out here thinking we can get another Cam that can just be Superman and make up for a non-existent OL but that's exactly what shortened his career. There is one starter under contract next year and he's the #2 most likely cap casualty behind Kawann Short (and before Stephen Weatherly, who we can likely see walk if YGM steps up over the course of the season).

Do we want to go an entire season next year rotating Daley/Little/Scott along with a possible rookie center? Little/Vet/Rookie/Daley/Moton could very well be the line that the team is looking at next season. If a franchise QB happens to be where the team picks? SCOOP! To give up draft capital though when there are so many holes to fill on the roster? I can't get down with that.

Completely agree. This team is a clutch QB away from making the playoffs.

Wow! So you think this team is going to be #3 of 60 teams in the last decade to go deep in the playoffs with an oline ranked as low as it is?

You are definitely a believer!

So many bitch about the OL situation but honestly, we're better than the Byron, Nate Chandler, Todd Steussie days.

Have you actually looked into this or just taking out of your ass? Like really...

Because I have.

Before this game they were about 4-5 spots better than that oline. That’s with a quick release QB and plays that take about 1/3 of the time Shula plays took to develop or cam held onto the ball or extended the play.

So, no, considering that, the oline is not better than Cam’s worst year.

We KNOW we need and Oline, and some THINK we need a new QB.

So, start with the Oline this coming draft and then decide on the QB later, maybe you will be surprised

It depends on where we draft. If it’s third overall and Sewell is there, sure. If we draft sixth overall we don’t take the 20th best player just because he’s offensive line.

True

If drafting 6th, then the LB from Penn State might come into play, or Wilson from BYU

I’m personally not on board with Wilson yet but I’d like Parsons from Penn State. My opinion on who we should draft flips depending on where we draft. Mid top 10 seems like a great spot for Parsons.

Line units aren't made up of one guy.

You can pull the worst lineman out of any unit we've had and talk about how bad they are, but if you're comparing lines it's done as a unit.

I'd add that as far as worst players along our line over the past several years, our current unit has four guys who belong on the list.

As I said, it's as sh-tty a unit as I've seen in a long, long time. Any suggestion that this group is anything above garbage is ill informed.

Interior it’s bad, but analytics say it’s an average O-Line. Shrugs.

Team scored 31 today. Gave up 2 sacks. There have been several games the offensive line was being praised and didn’t give up a single sack. A team with that bad of an o-line usually doesn’t have that kind of offensive performance.

Bridgewater is a good QB, until the final drive of the game.
