I'm not necessarily "rooting" for losing out the rest of the season, but being competitive every week while coming up just short and netting a top quarterback would be best case scenario imo.

If we have a Top 5 pick this draft and we pick a freaking LB, with the number of top QB prospects, I will lose any fleeting respect I had for Marty Hurney.  Parsons is great, but THIS is the draft we need to get our future QB.  There are 4 or 5 top flight QB prospects coming out, and we should be in a position to land one of them.

I hear you, joemac, but there’s a possibility Lawrence and Fields go in the top 2 and there are multiple QB needy teams ahead of us e.g. NYJ, Jax and Denver. Wilson and Lance are relatively unknowns at this point and it’s never good to reach out of need. I’m just saying it may not be out of the realm of possibility that Parsons or Sewell are BPA and both blue chip prospect at positions we desperately need. 

And personally, and I’m NOT a UNC homer, but Sam Howell is the truth and would be absolutely lethal in our offense.  A nice consolation prize in ‘22 IMO.

Now, if we could somehow get Sewell out of all this, assuming all the QB's were gone, that would be a great consolation prize.  Dont get me wrong, MLB is probably our biggest gaping hole on defense right now, but unless Parsons is projected to be another Luke, I think we can maximize our value at our projected high draft pick, and pick up a serviceable LB in free agency, or in Round 2.  Hell,  ANYBODY out there is better than Whitehead.  Hes garbage.

I’m all for that, as it appears our season is all but lost. And we should add Donte Jackson as well. A toe issue like that isn’t going away without rest.

Yeah, I'm still mad we didn't lose more games in 2016 and get the 4th pick. Fournette would really help this team more than CMC.
