Vikings placed Adam Thielen on the reserve/COVID list.

He's the sixth player for the Vikings to go on the list in the last month. Thielen played 57 snaps (89%) against the Cowboys Sunday, roasting Dallas' secondary for 8/123/2, perhaps forcing both teams to undergo close-contact tracing Monday afternoon. It's more than possible that Thielen is cleared in time for Sunday against the Panthers.

How would he be cleared by this Sunday? All of our covid reserves were typically out 2 weeks or more.

He might not have The VID.  When they put guys on the list they try not to divulge whether its a direct positive test or if its a high risk contact.  If its a high risk contact he has to quarantine by himself (can't practice) and test negative for like 5 straight days.  Then he's eligible to come back.

Still to early to tell.  Being put on the list and actually having it is 2 different things.

 

Remember, Chris Jones for the Chiefs got put on the list the Wednesday before our game and was cleared by Gameday
