Cousins made a couple of spectacular moves in the pocket. honestly that was one of the better games I've seen him play. There were around 4 sacks he somehow wiggled out of, and they always had that deep dig route open.

Like if he can avoid sacks while moving right and hit someone coming back to him 20 yards away....whelp

Corn should not be in the NFL. Pride needs to study hard and learn on the bench. Douglas actually is improving and he played well at times. People love to point our Douglas being beaten on that slant, but so would anyone else. The d-line didn't even bother to try and swat the pass down.

Even with a low talent secondary we could have stopped the later game raping. The problem is that Snow is cowardly and goes into prevent defense when he thinks a team is going to air it out to catch up. The CBs back up to Mars, and at that point we might as well remove the defense from the field altogether.

The D played great until Phil lost his nerve late and went prevent.

Yeah that was tough to see and it's been a problem here for over a decade now. But one thing I've noticed more recently is that all teams/coaches do this, even the greats. It's a league wide issue. Chiefs yesterday is a perfect example of an elite coach/team doing the same thing and nearly losing when they should've blown them out.

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
