No question. This season is over. Anyone hurt shouldn’t be risked for a mop up game.

Personally Id shut down anyone of significant value and get less experience players reps. Even some of the star rookies. No need to play Brown, Chinn, Shaq, DJax, Burns, or even Obada.  No need to play DJ. Samuel you might want to let play just so he can boost his stock in the FA market...I wish we could retain Samuel though.

I want Chinn to keep playing to strengthen that DROY resume.  I have a feeling they’ll still give it to Young, even if Chinn has amazing games the next 2 weeks though.

It’s easy to tell the player and convince the coach if the player is injured but I don’t think they’ll just start shutting everyone down. In week 17, maybe you pull starters in the first half almost like a preseason game. CMC and Burns shouldn’t even dress. Risking any chance at not being ready for next or having future issues should be an instant shutdown considering we are officially out. You have to think that they also know about the draft position. Coaches and active players don’t play to lose but the GM/FO should be thinking about draft slot and protecting players when we are done.

He was absolutely amazing yesterday.

Rhule & Snow were telling him before the last sack: "Go back in there and take him down" (Was trying to read their lips)

Burns goes in, and straight up gets the sack and give the chance for a comeback drive.

This offense needs to come together this coming offseason.  Some new linemen, a TE and most importantly, a new dude throwing the ball.

    • I do think the rating is fair given how this unit hasn’t proven it with production. I understand you have to rank off production, not potential. However, our unit is also in a position to make this rating look foolish a year from now. We have 4 guys in the WR/TE room who all could legitimately take the next step this year, and catapult our rank. A guy under a lot of people’s radar after we took Tet, Jalen Coker. Mark my words, he will become the star of this room, and be the heir to Thielen.
    • Exactly. You’d think 2-7 wins a year (in a 17 game season no less) since 2017 is going to keep us bottom tier. Every year we say the same poo like we haven’t been a bad team the past 7 years. Until we prove we aren’t a bottom dweller, that’s where we’ll stay ranked. God forbid we have OL injuries like 2016.
    • What I love and hate about this team is it’s more filled with potential breakout players than ever before. JT, XL, Coker, Smith-Wade, Ikem, Trevin… and even Bryce are all guys I could legitimately see taking the next step. But the problem with having so many of those guys is that team success somewhat relies on them taking that step, and some are bound not to. That being said, I’m cautiously optimistic given our softer schedule, the way the offense clicked late last year, and the direction we finally have at GM, coach, and QB. Could see us as a sneaky playoff team.
