Who you got tonight?

I need to read up on how many others players are sitting out. We don’t play defense so we have to win a shootout and without Pitts that will be tough. If Grimes or Tony aren’t going to play that might get ugly quick.

"Catching a falling star" is something the Panthers have done a couple of times.

It hasn't produced good results.

Greg little, will grier, dwayne jarret, Everett brown, and jimmy Clausen all come to mind.

That said, star lotululei did fall to to us and that worked phenominally.

They aren’t. And Copeland is out too. Trask somehow balls out tonight, his draft stock will skyrocket.

Also read this today:

Basically the same numbers over the last two seasons.

It's compelling! But the overall production in reference to yardage is kinda stark. Not saying that it definitively means Goldilocks will be better, but I can see why people give him the edge based upon that alone!

Will read after this post, but I feel a lot better about Fields now.  He reminds me of a smaller Cam Newton with a better ability to read the defense.  I think his accuracy is better.  I also found the article I share to be interesting because it provides some insights into Haskins' limitations.

I would not argue Fields is better. Just pointing out when people say it’s about body of work... it’s really not.

I’d still argue it counts. We also can’t fault the new regime for stuff the old regime did wrong. Falling a few spots in the draft is not the same, to me, as catching a falling star.

The reason he dropped is the reason he didn't last.

I grant Marty not being the one picking is a positive, but I'm still not a fan of taking players that a bunch of other teams are letting drop.

Of the top 6, Fields scares me the most.

I know, I have the same level of fear with him.  Everything I read and hear says he is different from other OSU QB, and I read and appreciate why.  Then there is the fact he apparently had a couple of bad games against better competition, and the fact that despite the articles I have ready, he is still an OSU quarterback.

Maybe a good performance in the game against Clemson, win or lose, will get me over that hump.  But him being good at the next level may be what it takes to get me over the OSU QB hump.....which does him no good at all right now!
