Paradis has been horrible since he got here

KK can’t stay on the field...it may be possible to restructure his deal?

I would think not. He is done, if you ask me.  Too much money and I doubt he is worth the roster spot.

I was really hoping the narrative on this would shift with Hurney's firing. Retaining Moton should be our #1 in-house priority. Last year's should've been Bradberry and we fuged that up.

Bradberry was decent, but not 15 million a year decent.

Hes absolutely worth the contract the Giants gave him. He was one of the best in the league this season and would have been a building block for our secondary for years to come. The guy is only 27 and could have been had by simply not having Okung on the roster this year, not counting if we cut Kk like we should have

This won't be popular but... I'm not sure there's one darned good reason to re-sign any of our starting five O-linemen.

No reason to even discuss any of them except for Moton. And there's the rub.

Moton is probably the only starting caliber player on our offensive line. He's a right tackle and performs the job at well, average level. He looks great simply because the rest of the line looks so bad beside him. He doesn't get a lot of pressures simply because there are easier targets and turnstiles to go through. His run blocking is okay, but he isn't throwing defenders into the second row of the upper deck.

And there's the problem... to retain him we're going to have to pay him like a star talent. If we don't, someone else will and there might be a fair amount of buyer's remorse. And while we like to imagine he would be good at left tackle, we really don't have any practical evidence of it. I will say that considering everything, I'm sure our coaching staff considered that possibility and didn't think it was worth the risk.

Folks, I say we offer Moton decent but not leading RT money, but be prepared to let him walk. Let the rest roll into obscurity or retirement. Time to not rebuild a line, but build the whole thing, from the ground up. Doesn't have to be a lineup of all stars, just a group that can hit average and improve with time and coaching. That'd be a massive improvement.

Moton does not perform at “average level” and that’s just a fact. Not only is he one of the best RT’s in the league, but he is durable, as good of a teammate as you could ask for, at the age that you can build around him with younger draft talent, and someone who is just going into his prime. Letting him go would be a huge blow to our team. We can replace Samuel easily, tackles not so much. We are still looking for a replacement for Gross, and I don’t feel like going back to switching players every year or being happy with a couple years from a player like Remmers. Moton is a building block and one of the best in the game...you can’t let someone like that walk. He is a star RT and I would challenge you name a top 5 list of right tackles in the game right now that you would rather build around than Moton.

Even more confusing is the rumors we were not in negotions at all, like no contact, with Moton until the report came out that we would franchise him. What was Marty's grand plan? At least ask his agent a fugging ballpark number. Sharty gets fired and now we want to publicly keep him? I'm not sure what is going on but we need to see where his camp is at price wise and go from there.
