Rhule better make the playoffs next season

Exactly.

A great organization and management means way more than a couple of draft slots.  This is a fact that has been proven time and time again.  Maybe if somehow Zach Wilson or Justin Fields or whoever we miss out on turn into Peyton Manning or something, maybe we might regret it, but spoiler alert: that probably won't happen.

This team's long-term success is not going to come down to this.  And based off our first draft under Rhule and how this team looked despite the talent-deficiency and shortened offseason?  Yea, there really is no reason not to be optimistic.  I think a lot of you are just fishing too hard for problems.

Barring some major shocks, Matt Rhule isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Team has to be on an upward trajectory. In your previous scenario suggested the team will have a worse record than this year, next year. 

He'll get through year three just off the strength of his contract, a new GM, and a second shot at bringing in a QB, but at some point you have to be in the hunt.

We’re not making the playoffs next year, but we’ll definitely have improved, and guess what...Rhule is still going to be here. Year 3 is playoffs time.

Went 5-11 you say? Lets break down the wins

1. chargers - Austin ekeler dropped game winning pitch from allen

 2. falcons - missing Julio 

3. cardinals- Hopkins and Kirk don’t practice all week, missing both starting safeties and chandler jones

4. Lions- yeah we straight fked them up. Golladay out 

5. smith and terry both out. We lose easily if they play

 

yes I understand we were without cmc most of the year, but our injury luck when facing teams was crazy.

Don’t know why the poo on this post. Ron is heading to the playoffs and Cam had a better season than Teddy with scraps. Yet here we are another 5-11 position and probably not in a position to draft one of the top QBs. Top to bottom failure for the franchise this year. I’d rather we started Will all year and be 0-16.

This year was the biggest waste of time. In previous bad seasons we would clean house and/or have a great pick in the draft. Now we're barely inside the top 10 and all the mocks have us taking dumb poo like CBs and linebackers. Just an overall poo season

I think you’re going to have 4 QBs go with the top 4 picks. Someone is going to trade up with the Dolphins.
