Watson to Fins/Phins trade speculation.

If these are the reasons that Deshaun Watson wants out of Houston, I don't blame him one bit. As a matter of fact, I respect the kid even more.

It looks like he's going to play hardball and flex a little muscle! The Miami Dolphins may be in that equation!

Just to speculate, I'd say it would depend on how Houston views Tua.  If Houston thinks that Tua is a franchise guy - with no doubts - then I suspect you could make that deal by swapping Tua and Watson, with Miami also throwing in one of their first rounders this year.  Salary cap swap would be good for Houston (who are currently 20 million over), and Miami wouldn't struggle with it much either.

They could probably do worse than Tua. He's still learning, but definitely has major upside in my opinion.

There's a Patriots connection between new Texans GM Nick Caserio and Dolphins coach Brian Flores to consider too.

Miami has:

a young and talented team

no state income tax

only have the Bills as a threat to the division

plenty of draft capital

tons of cap space

he’d instantly be the best QB they had since Marino

oh and it’s Miami. Young, handsome and a multimillionaire

That's a big question mark to me.  In watching Tua this year, he just didn't look like he had the velocity for the big boy NFL throws and his mechanics looked awkward.  He looks a lot like a left handed Mac Jones to be honest.  Watch their tape back to back sometime.  It's a little eerie.

    • Bro, they literally said everyone in the building wanted bryce.  From tepper down to the scouts they literally said everyone.  By human nature that simply cant be true.  They are just saying that to show unity in the pick.  I can promise not everyone wanted him over stroud or whoever
    • Well, you aren’t really joking there but at the same time, talent will out. Cam in our case.  Manning. All the guys that people pointed to when Bryce sucked his first year, and said they struggled too…  It is such a crap shoot.. but better than it was before they slotted the pay into a reasonable stratosphere. Talk about killing your franchise paying the equivalent of modern day 50-60 million per, to a green rookie….
    • The issue is that being slow or unable to read the field is the toughest of all hills to climb in the NFL for a QB. There is an overflowing graveyard of former QB's you have to climb over to get to the very few success stories in that realm. It is not impossible for him to figure it out but it is HIGHLY improbable that he will. The odds there are so incredibly low.
